The late television actor, Nitesh Pandey was just 51 years of age when he sadly passed away on May 24, 2023. The cause of death was a severe heart attack, which Nitesh experienced during the shooting of his show, Igatpuri, near Nashik on May 23, 2023. According to reports, the famous actor passed away shortly after experiencing cardiac arrest. In a brief interview with ETimes, Siddharth Nagar, Nitesh's brother-in-law and producer, verified the heartbreaking news. Siddharth also stated that his sister, Arpita Pandey was in immense shock after Nitesh’s untimely demise.
As soon as the painful news of Nitesh Pandey’s demise due to a cardiac arrest flashed on the television screen and social media posts, several celebrities came forward to extend their heartfelt condolences. One such celebrity was popular television actor, Sudhanshu Pandey, who worked with Nitesh in their show, Anupamaa.

The Anupamaa actor, Sudhanshu Pandey was deeply saddened and unable to express his feelings following the untimely demise of his friend and co-actor, Nitesh Pandey. However, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Sudhanshu mentioned that the late actor was filled with enthusiasm about the upcoming projects and was eagerly looking forward to exploring this new phase of his career. The actor shared how he and Nitesh were talking about their respective professional front recently, and he is still trying to digest the heartbreaking news. He said:
"The news has come as a shock to me. It is one of those moments which completely takes you off, and makes one thing that somebody who used to be with us sometime ago, sitting and talking about work on TV and OTT, is no more with us."
Further in the same interview, Sudhanshu Pandey also mentioned that Nitesh Pandey was experiencing a sense of contentment as his career started gaining momentum. He also added that the late actor anxiously anticipated the opportunity to travel for various engagements. Sudhanshu also shared how Nitesh was at the peak of his career, revealing he had secured roles in multiple web series and an OTT film in his kitty. Then, opening up about Nitesh’s acting career, he said:
"He was happy with the way work was picking up for him, and excited about travelling from here to there for various things. He was doing some three-four web series, and also had OTT film in his kitty. He was very happy that finally good things are happening. He was really enthusiastic about the work he was getting to do now."

In the same interview, Sudhanshu Pandey also opened up about his bond with Nitesh Pandey. The actor fondly recalled the moments he shared with Nitesh, while they were working on the sets of their show, Anupamaa. Sharing details of the same, Sudhanshu revealed that Nitesh Pandey would visit his room on set, and they used to engage in deep and joyful conversations. During the shoots for their TV show, the two ‘Pandey’ actors would relax and enjoy each other's company, sharing a special connection as they hailed from Uttarakhand and discovered numerous shared experiences. Sadly, with Nitesh's passing, those cherished moments have come to an end. He stated:
"When he used to come to shoot for the TV show, we would chill, it was one Pandey meeting another Pandey. We also came from Uttrakhand, so we had a lot in common. So, we used to exchange stories and laugh. Now all those stories are over."
We hope God gives strength to Nitesh Pandey’s family at such a painful phase of their lives.
