Om Raut's directorial film, Adipurush, greatly impacted the fans, and the movie has been bagging positive and negative responses from the audience. As per the reports, on its fourth day of release, Prabhas and Kriti's film, Adipurush is expected to bag a total amount of Rs. 245 crore at the box office worldwide. For the uninformed, Om Raut's movie has reportedly been made on a budget of more than Rs. 600 Crores, which makes it stand as one of the most expensive films in Bollywood. However, apart from all these, the movie has received a lot of criticism from everyone for the portrayal of the mythological characters, the language they have used, visual effects, and costume choices. In an interview, Om Raut addressed the same and shared that he is pinning hope on Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming movie, Ramayana.
For the unversed, Dangal director, Nitesh Tiwari is all set to treat the cine-lovers with his upcoming movie, Ramayana. As per several reports, the movie will cast Ranbir Kapoor as 'Lord Ram' and Alia Bhatt as 'Sita'. "I am looking forward to the film like every Ram bhakt. As many films we make on Ramayana, Prabhu Shri Ram, and everything on Rama, I think we will all root for that film or any other film that anybody is making. It’s very important for us; it’s the greatest history of our country, it’s very important. We have to tell it as many times as we can, and as many people as possible should see the film."

"What is more important is the type of response that the film is getting at the box office. I’m very happy to say that we are going for an unprecedented number of day one of the global box office."
In the same interview, Om Raut added that if someone claims they understand Ramayana completely, that will be a mistake. Talking about the same, he shared that a little bit that he has understood of Ramayana, he tried to portray it onto celluloid. Om Raut mentioned:
"If I kind of sit down and tell you that I have understood the drama, I think it will be a serious error because nobody, I feel, has the capacity to understand Ramayana. Whatever Ramayana that I have understood, whatever little bit you know, it’s like a squirrel’s contribution. That little bit that I have understood of the Ramayana is something that I’ve tried to portray onto celluloid."
Further, in the interview, Om Raut revealed that demonstrating the whole Ramayana in a movie is next to impossible, and Adipurush mainly focuses on the Yuddha Kanda chapter of the Ramayana.
