Orry And Seven Others Have Been Booked For Allegedly Consuming Alcohol Near Maa Vaishno Devi Temple

Orhan Awatramani, famously known as 'Orry', is an internet personality. The influencer rose to prominence for his involvement with Bollywood, earning the tag of 'Bollywood BFF'. Orry has also shot for an ad with Karan Johar, where he gave the world a glimpse of his acting talents. However, while it's not unusual for Orry to find himself in the middle of a controversy, he landed himself in a massive one when videos and pictures of him recently went viral.

Orry got booked for allegedly consuming alcohol near Maa Vaishno Devi 

Orry recently visited the revered Hindu shrine of Maa Vaishno Devi. However, another video from the same night surfaced, which alleged that the influencer was consuming alcohol near the area. Orry and seven others have been booked by Jammu and Kashmir police for the alleged consumption near the temple. According to the news agency ANI, the state police have filed an FIR against eight persons, including Orry, for consuming alcohol in a prohibited zone in Katra on March 17, 2025. The report can be quoted as saying:

"As per police, FIR was registered against eight people, including socialite influencer Orhan Awatramani aka Orry, for allegedly consuming alcohol in a hotel located in Katra."

Another report by Times Now stated that another accused included Russian citizen, Anastasia Arzamaskina. She had accompanied Orry and his friends to Katra. For the unversed, Orry had also shared a video of him walking towards the shrine with the caption 'Vaishnodevi Vibes' on Snapchat. An FIR (No. 72/25) has been lodged at the Katra Police Station, listing Orry, Darshan Singh, Parth Raina, Ritick Singh, Rashi Dutta, Rakshita Bhogal, Shagun Kohli, and Arzamaskina as the primary accused. The eight of them are being charged with violating the District Magistrate's order and allegedly hurting religious sentiments.

The hotels near Maa Vaishno Devi have strict no non-vegetarian food and intoxicants policy

According to the reports, the Cottage Suit area in Katra, where the group, including Orry, allegedly consumed alcohol, has strict rules against non-vegetarian food and intoxicants. These rules are due to its proximity to the Maa Vaishno Devi shrine, one of the holiest pilgrimage sites in Hinduism.

Police ensure strict actions against the group

In a conversation with Times Now, a Reasi Police official shared that a special team under the supervision of SP, Deputy SP and SHO Katara have been formed and will investigate the matter. They assured the devotees that notices would be sent to all accused, including the influencer, Orry, and if they were found guilty of consuming alcohol, strict actions would be taken against them. He stated:

"A special team, under the supervision of SP Katra, Dy SP Katra, and SHO Katra, was formed to investigate the matter. Notices will be sent to all accused individuals, including Orry, instructing them to join the probe. SSP Reasi has reiterated that anyone violating the law, especially by indulging in activities like alcohol or drug consumption at religious sites, will be dealt with strictly."
