Bollywood's favourite BFF, Orhan Awatramani, aka Orry, is in the news again. But this time, it's not due to one of his red-carpet appearances or parties. In the 2024 US election, former President Donald Trump was the Republican nominee and defeated Democrat Kamala Harris by a slim margin. However, Donald Trump was again elected as president of the United States on November 6, 2024. Orry, though, had a different reaction.
In a recent Instagram post, Orry celebrated Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 U.S. presidential election and shared his experience as an overseas voter from India. This post, which is an interesting collection of pictures and screenshots, highlights Orry's dedication to the election and his enthusiasm for the outcome. He posted a series of pictures on his Instagram and captioned it as:

"We did it Donald we did it @realdonaldtrump #POTUS #MyPresident #MAGA #MakeAmericaSafeAgain #Trump2024. Proud to have exercised my right to vote in the exclusive 2024 presidential elections."
On the first slide, Orry proudly shows his certified ballot and envelope, indicating that he voted for Trump from India. The photograph established the post's tone, demonstrating the extent to which overseas voters will go to have their opinions heard. Further evidence is displayed in later slides, which include screenshots of the election results and Trump's official ballot for 2024, which shows him far ahead of Kamala Harris. Orry is so excited that he tags a screenshot of the vote total, congratulating Trump on his victory.
The love sign he holds up in one of the photos symbolises Orry's unwavering support for Trump. As he shares a copy of his comment on a live video of Trump, Orry is still beaming with pride, calling him "my president." Orry's affectionate comment reflects his personal connection and loyalty to Trump.
In one of the photos, we can see a screenshot of a direct message from Trump on Instagram, giving Orry's post a more intimate feel and demonstrating how much the man he supports values and acknowledges him. As a reminder of his resolve to cast a ballot from overseas, Orry also shared a screenshot of an email certifying that he had done so through Boulder County's overseas and military voter program.
To add a light-hearted fandom touch, Orry includes a photo of a white T-shirt featuring Trump's visage. He concludes the message with a video clip of himself signing documents to show that he is actively involved in the electoral process. When taken as a whole, Orry's Instagram picture is a vibrant representation of his fervour and backing for Donald Trump.
However, Orry faces backlash after sharing the post. Netizens flooded his comment section with negative comments. Someone wrote, "Ok, sorry, you won unfortunately lol but there's no need to offend Kamala!". Another user commented, "Naaaaah…. Orry, this ain’t a slay." His fans also started unfollowed him after the post. A netizen wrote, "This is so offensive ignorant and downright stupid, politics is not a joke." Someone also addressed him as 'deshdrohi.'
