Did Orry Took A Jibe On Karan Johar's Acting As The Latter Launch Him? 'I Can't Act The Way Karan..'

Orhan Awatramani, aka Orry, needs no introduction as he is a social media sensation. A famous face in Tinseltown, Orry is friends with all the who's who of Bollywood and the business world and is often seen partying with top celebrities. However, he always intrigues people as everyone wants to know what Orry does for a living. Time and again, Orry has claimed that he is a 'liver', but this time, he talked about one of his many professional undertakings.

Orry's actorial debuts alongside Karan Johar

Orry started off as an internet sensation, but he is now an actor. Yes, you read it right; Orry has entered the acting sphere and has just shot for his first-ever gig in a digital Croc brand's ad film. Orry excitedly talked about his acting debut and shared that he is not an actor, but he has come a long way from shooting reels to an ad film. In Orry's words:

"I am not an actor. People think, oh, Orry acts. But no, he does not. I've just completed one year in video this coming September 24. That's my one year anniversary from the first reel I ever shot. It took eight hours to shoot a 60-second reel, and look at what a long way I have come."

Orry added that although this was not a Karan Johar film but it felt like nothing sort of an exception. He added that he was being launched alongside Karan Johar, and it was a dreamy moment for him. Orry further confessed that he was very nervous ahead of the shoot and was scared about messing up. In his words:

"I was nervous, I was anxious. Most people want a Karan Johar launch and here I am being launched with Karan Johar, you can't mess this up. I wasn't a friend on set, I was a fellow actor, a junior, junior actor." 

Orry talks about his bond with Karan Johar

Orry shared that he and Karan are friendly with each other and often meet at parties. But the ad shoot was a completely different setup, and both of them were very professional there. Orry praised Karan's dedication to his craft and said:

“Karan Johar and I are friendly, we talk, we meet at parties, we've chatted here and there and we have a good equation. But, when it comes to being with Karan Johar in front of the camera, the friendship does not translate because we are not friends in front of the camera. Karan is a senior in the industry. He is Karan Johar. He has accomplished and achieved way too many things for me to be friendly with him on a set.”

Orry revealed his primary source of income

In a candid conversation with Forbes India, Orry was asked about his profession. Responding to the same, he revealed that he gets his primary source of income by attending some events. He also added that his focus is to spread happiness in other people's lives.
