The CEO of OYO Rooms, Ritesh Agarwal got married to the love of his life, Geetansha Sood on March 7, 2023, in the presence of their families and loved ones. The couple hosted a lavish wedding reception for their friends and people from the corporate jungle. Several pictures from Ritesh’s wedding reception are doing rounds on the internet as several young, and famous entrepreneurs were invited to the bash. As per the reports, Aman Gupta (Co-founder of BoAt), Ashneer Grover (Co-founder of BharatPe), Vijay Shekhar Sharma (Founder of Paytm), Prafull Billore (MBA Chai Wala), and many others attended the grand reception in Delhi.
The newly-married couple, Ritesh Agarwal and Geetansha Sood looked stunning at their wedding reception. However, one incident at the wedding caught everyone’s attention and stole the show at Ritesh and Geetansha’s reception party.

At the reception party, Softbank’s CEO and billionaire businessman, Masayoshi Son was also in attendance. When the billionaire went on stage to congratulate the couple, Ritesh Agarwal and Geetansha Sood, they sought his blessings through the famous Indian touching the feet tradition. The moment was captured on cameras and soon it made its way on social media. In no time, people started making fun of Ritesh for touching Masayoshi Son’s feet. While one user wrote, "Chalo abhi softbank se aur zyada funding milegi", another netizen commented, "Funding ke leye kya kya karna padta hain re deva".
For the unversed, Masayoshi Son has invested a large sum of money in OYO, which was the reason why he attended the wedding of its founder, Ritesh Agarwal. According to reports, Masayoshi is a fan of in-person meetings as he prefers them over zoom calls, which was why his visit to India left everyone surprised. However, if the reports are to be believed, the billionaire businessman attended the wedding after getting negative COVID-19 reports of the invited to the bash. No wonder Ritesh’s investor-friend, Masayoshi created big complexities for the event organisers.

Not everyone is aware of the fact that Ritesh Agarwal kick-started his journey as an entrepreneur when he was just 17. Right from the beginning of his humble childhood in Odisha, he developed an immense interest in programming and technology. It was his decision to drop out of college and invest his time and energy in creating a startup, OYO, that changed his and a million people’s lives. It was in 2018 when Ritesh's name came in the Forbes 30 Under 30 in the Consumer Technology category.
Congratulations to Ritesh Agarwal and Geetansha Sood. We wish them a happy married life.
