Bushra Bashir is a popular name in Pakistani showbiz. She stepped into the acting field at a very young age in the 1960s. Since then, the renowned actress has worked in some of the hit Pakistani dramas, such as Udaari, Bay Dardi, Zebaish, Tere Bin, Deewar-e-Shab, and many more. Apart from her professional front, Bushra Bashir's personal life also came under the limelight recently. After getting divorced from her first husband, Iqbal Ansari in 2014, Bushra once again got married to Iqbal Hussain in 2023.
However, the Pakistani actress is older than her husband and this became an issue in Eastern society. Bushra was called out for marrying Iqbal Hussain at the age of 66, although the age gap between the couple is not known yet. But the actress did not back out from fighting such backward thinking of the society. Recently, she reshared Instant Bollywood’s video featuring the Indian actor, Milind Soman with his wife, Ankita Konwar. The video highlighted the 26-year age difference between the two and has garnered 5.5 million views. Sharing the video on her IG feed, the Pakistani actress wrote:
“It’s nothing new.. So it’s ok for a man to!! Hay na ?? Hahahaha.”

The video of Milind and Ankita was from Bollywood Hungama’s Style Icon Awards 2024. For the event, the Bollywood actor opted for an all-black look, comprising a two-piece bandhgala suit, and shoes, and completed his overall with his quintessential gelled hair. Ankita, on the other hand, looked pretty in a monochromatic midi skirt and waistcoat. For those who don’t know, Milind married Ankita in April 2018 and they celebrated their six years of marriage this year.

Soon after Bushra Bashir's post, people on the internet started penning down their thoughts in the comment section of the same. While some praised the actress for calling out the double standard, others asked her to live her married life happily without thinking of anyone’s judgement. One user said, “It's also OK for women as well.” Another wrote, “You cannot make everyone happy love. Just stay happy and block negativity from your life. Wishing you a happy life.” A third netizen penned, “Mam you did nothing wrong, no need to justify.”

Earlier, in a daily vlog, the Pakistani actress, Bushra Bashir talked about her marriage to Iqbal Hussain. The actress shared that she never intended to marry again, and kept a low profile after her divorce from her first husband. However, the arrival of Iqbal Hussain in her life changed everything. She also shared that her family was happy to meet him.
