Even after getting separated from each other for more than 7 decades, the two culturally-rich countries - India and Pakistan, have numerous shared interests. And their cultural influences are majorly seen during weddings. Although the names of the rituals remain distinct, the attires worn during the events at times get to see similar designs, vibrant colours and patterns on the ensembles. One such Pakistani bride, who wore a saree on her wedding day, grabbed our eyeballs.
The Pakistani bride, Fajar looked absolutely beautiful in a maroonish red-hued saree for her wedding day, a few years ago. Although the saree is not a common fashion wear for Pakistani brides, Fajar chose a bright, vibrant coloured one over any other traditional costumes of the country, Pakistan, including lehenga or sharara. Her saree featured a broad golden embroidered border with golden threads and minute gota patti work all over it.
