Television actress, Shweta Tiwari had become a household name after her role of 'Prerna' in the TV show, Kasautii Zindagii Kay. She proved her mettle of acting in shows such as Parvarish, Begusarai and Mere Dad Ki Dulhan. Every now and then, she hits the headlines either for her work commitments or her personal life. For the unversed, Shweta Tiwari was married twice, but none of her relationships worked. And now, she is a working single mother to her kids!
Shweta is blessed with two children, Palak Tiwari from her first wedding with her ex-husband, Raja Chaudhary, and Reyansh Kohli from her second wedding with Abhinav Kohli. Palak was born when Shweta was 20 and hadn't begun her acting career. And today, even at the age of 40, Shweta looks quite young, and some people even mistake her to be Palak's elder sister. Both have often revealed that they share a friend-like bond apart from being mother-daughter.

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Palak Tiwari revealed that she loves it when people say that Shweta looks like her elder sister rather than her mother. Palak added that she has been a fan of her mother's looks since her childhood and always loved the fact that her mother is good-looking. Talking about how her mother, Shweta looks like her elder sister, Palak said:
"That's for sure. I love it. I love that she is so happening. In fact when I was younger also, I've loved it since then. Because my nani would normally pick me up from school, what a bratty kid I was, but the day my mom was coming to pick me up I was like 'oh, my mom is hot and good-looking and everyone is gonna be staring at her. I used to be like, 'huh, yeah, that's my mom, so.' I used to feel very cool. Till date it's like that, I was like 'that's my mom.' I am very proud of it."
Further in the interview, Palak shared that she and her mom, Shweta are so close that they even tell each other about their crushes. She also talked about what happens when her male friends tell Shweta that they find her hot. When asked if her guy friends have ever expressed that they have a crush on Shweta, Palak confessed:
"It is the weirdest thing. I have yelled at so many of my guy friends. They've not said that they have a crush on her, they're like 'dude your mom is quite hot huh' and I was like 'you say this and now my mom is gonna belo (beat with a rolling pin) like that.' So for her everyone my age is like 'beta' and she has always been very maternal so when my friends say 'Shweta, you are so hot,' she is like, 'eh, nikal isko (throw him out).'"
