He has proven his mettle in acting by working in blockbuster films like Mimi, Gangs of Wasseypur, Kaagaz, Ludo, Stree, Fukrey and many more. However, the Bihari boy inside him still loves to live his life in a simple manner. Recently, the actor gave a tour of his holiday home in Mumbai, which carries the essence of his village.
Recently, in an interaction with Mashable India, Pankaj Tripathi opened the doors of his beautiful holiday home in Mumbai, which he has lovingly named Roop Katha. And oh boy, every corner of the home has an essence of village and why not? The National Award winner has built his village-inspired holiday home to seek solace amid the hustle and bustle of the city.

As the video begins, we can see the inside look of Pankaj's serene farmhouse. And there's no denying the fact that his holiday home is nothing but perfect, from the light tones, to handcrafted artefacts. In the video, we get to see an outside glimpse of Pankaj's white-coloured bungalow, which was surrounded by greenery. And not just that, the actor has decorated the outdoor area of his home with a handwoven khatiya or, famously known as charpoy.
Going further in the video, we get a view of Pankaj Tripathi's spacious living room, which has neutral tones. The floor of the house was finished with a wooden flooring, giving a warm and cosy feel. Moreover, all the furnishings of the house was in brown hues, which beautifully complimented the neutral tones of the house. In the video, Pankaj can be seen giving a glimpse of two artefacts, a one-horned rhino and a tusker, that he received as gifts from the Divisional Forest Officer of Kaziranga National Park.

Pankaj's living room speaks volumes about his love for handcrafts. The wooden dining table that was beautifully placed in his living room is a proof of his admiration for local artisans. Talking about the rosewood dining table, the actor mentioned that the designs on the furniture have been handcrafted by the artisans of Mysore.
The next destination in the journey of Pankaj's holiday home was his kitchen, which shed a total village feel. The kitchen had a big window, which the actor uses for relishing pakodas while enjoying the outside view. Further, in the video, the actor can be seen making Bihar's special 'sattu drink' for the host. To give it a more homely feel, Pankaj has kept a clay pot in his kitchen as he prefers the cold water of the matka over refrigerated water. Pankaj's kitchen also has a 'mitti ka chulha' which his family uses occasionally to cook authentic food. And there is no doubt that the taste of mud stove feels different.
Pankaj Tripathi's holiday paradise has been surrounded by a lush green garden. And without any doubt, it was a sight to behold. The entire space was adorned with fresh trees, including a mango and kathal tree. Well, the garden surely serves as a perfect escape from the hustle of the city as it not only allows him to get mesmerised by the melodious sound of birds but also provides a space to enjoy his free time by playing outdoor games.
Pankaj Tripathi's holiday home, 'Roop Katha', is a hidden gem in Mumbai. From the mud pots to handweaved charpoy, each corner of the house exudes the essence of Bihar. Without any doubt, it reflects the actor's personality in the most beautiful manner. What do you think?
