Pavitra Punia Admits Getting Lip Surgery, Compares It With Cleaning The Dirt After Birthing Babies

Popular actress, Pavitra Punia, rose to immense popularity with her stint in the reality show, Bigg Boss 14. Apart from that, she has been part of multiple TV shows, including Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Luv U Zindagi, Splitsvilla, and many more. Thus, the actress also has a huge fan following on her social media handle. In addition, the actress is hugely loved for never shying away from anything in her life and openly embracing her choices.

Pravitra Punia accepts undergoing lip enhancement surgeries

Recently, Pavitra Punia appeared on Shardul Pandit's podcast, wherein she opened up about accepting the fact that she has gone under the knife. In a video shared by the podcaster, the actress can be heard admitting, "My lips are enhanced." Soon, the interviewer interrupted her and asked, "Why don't girls talk about it?" To this, Pavitra explained something which is quite relatable for everyone, who undergoes such enhancement surgeries. Pavitra stated:

"The fear of being judged. My mother at time says that bhagwan ne jo cheez di hai uss cheez ko vaise rakho."

In the same conversation, Pavitra then explained how her mother, even at times, used to advise her not to go under the knife. However, according to the actress, the Almighty has given her the right to enhance the features of her body just like everyone cleans the dirt from their food and clothes. Explaining her point of view and how to embrace one's decisions, Pavitra added:

"So I always just say that mumma that bhagwan ne humko aapke womb se nikala, we were dirty. If we not have been cleaned, how it would have felt? Then bhagwan ne humein kapde pehenne ko diye, hum usko press karke pehente the. Then bhagwan ne humein khaane ko diya, hum dhoke khaate hai usko. So anywhere in your life if you feel that this is making you insecure and underconfident in any circumstances, you have the permission to go enhance it. But be ready to accept it also. This is what the people don't understand especially my celeb friends. There is a whole lot of audience that thinks that you are their idol."

Pavitra Punia once talked about the darkest period of her life was when she came out of Bigg Boss

Although Pavitra gained immense fame with her stint on Bigg Boss 14, after coming out of the show, she faced a huge financial crisis, leading to severe depression. Earlier, in a candid conversation with ETimes TV, she had opened up about the difficult phases of her life, including her father’s demise. Talking about the same, Pavitra recalled how her pay for a week was kept on hold during the lockdown. Moreover, in an unfortunate event, her father suffered from paralysis in his lower body, and that became a bigger concern for her. Explaining the same, Pavitra shared:

"More than the lockdown, the most challenging time for me was when I came out of Bigg Boss. It was the darkest period of my life when I didn't have work, and the money I earned from Bigg Boss had run out while taking care of my family. It's not about being rich, but rather about responsibility. For instance, if I'm in a hospital, I wouldn't ask my mother for her credit or debit card. It's a child's responsibility. When you're an earning member, you want to do everything you can for your parents. After coming out of Bigg Boss on November 28th, my life took a drastic turn when, on December 27th, my father met with an accident."

Pavitra mentioned having suicidal thoughts while dealing with the darkest phase of her life

Pavitra then shared how she started feeling depressed while fighting against the situation. This also led to her having suicidal thoughts. She added that although her family supported her financially then, but the actress was unable to find happiness. Thus, she kept questioning herself and wondering what she had done to end up in this position. Finally, it was her mother's advice and her care for her pet dogs that reversed her suicidal thoughts, and she started gaining confidence.
