Pavitra Punia and Eijaz Khan used to be one of the much-loved couples. The duo made a bond in Bigg Boss 14, which later evolved into love. The couple was together for a few years, and in 2022, they got engaged. Well, destiny had some other plans, and last year, Pavitra and Eijaz parted ways. While the real reason for the couple's separation remained under wraps, Pavitra recently made a comment on the same, and people misinterpreted and started claiming that the couple might part ways as Eijaz wanted to convert her to Islam.
Eijaz Khan's spokesperson recently reacted to the same and debunked the buzz. Well, it was Pavitra's recent statements about her breakup that caused a stir on the internet, not only for one reason. She also seemingly called her ex-beau, Eijaz 'narcissist'. When asked about her breakup, Pavitra, in a not-so-old interview with Telly Masala, stated that they kept on trying but couldn't save their relationship. Moreover, it was her follow-up statements that left people wondering if the actress had called her ex-beau a narcissist.
Talking about the same, Pavitra shared that she says to every woman, that being submissive in a relationship is appealing, and it's considered to be good if a woman is being fragile and feminine. She also added how she advises every woman that if a person is trying to suppress her, then that person is no doubt a narcissist, and thus, that lady shouldn't stay with him.
While she didn't call Eijaz a 'narcissist' directly, the reference she gave left people wondering if it was an indirect dig. She concluded her statement by saying that she and Eijaz kept on trying, but it reached its final limit. In Pavitra Punia's words:
"We kept trying. Now, I say this to many women. A woman being submissive is, no doubt, appealing. A woman being fragile and feminine is considered good, I understand that. But when a woman is sitting quietly like that, you will approach her with care because she is speaking to you gently. I tell this to every woman – if a man keeps suppressing you, he is a narcissist. Don’t stay with him. In our case, it reached a point where we tried and tried, but it didn’t work. How much could we keep trying?"
In the same interview, Pavitra Punia made a comment which was being misinterpreted. Pavitra mentioned that her extended family was really happy that the industry doesn't care about caste and religion. She also added that she had already told Eijaz that she was not going to convert. Moreover, this comment was misinterpreted and people started wondering if Eijaz actually tried to convert Pavitra, resulting in their breakup.

Later, Eijaz's spokesperson revealed that his father has been getting constant calls from his friends who had been asking him if his son tried to convert his ex-girlfriend. The spokesperson stated that Eijaz's father was the happiest with the ex-couple's relationship, and now it's over, but being dragged like this, that too, in the negative light, as religion had never been a criterion in the duo's relationship.
