Recently, when she got her youngest son, Anant Ambani married to his ladylove, Radhika Merchant, she showcased her extravagant yet elegant and traditional fashion game. Right after the wedding festivities of the Ambani's got over, the popular designer, Manish Malhotra dropped a few glimpses of Nita Ambani clad in an exquisite pink Charbagh saree, which she paired with a purple blouse with real gold varak work done specially by Pichwai artist, Shehzad Ali Sherani from Kishangarh, Rajasthan.

According to a report by the Indian Express, Shehzad was contacted just a week prior to Anant and Radhika's wedding to make the purple blouse for Nita Ambani. He shared that he, along with his son, had worked for 50-55 hours to create the piece for the businesswoman. He was quoted as saying:

"This was a big challenge. I, my son Faizan, and other people in our team worked together for 50-55 hours. We were able to deliver it on time."

For the uninitiated, Pichwai are the paintings placed behind the deity Shrinathji or Thakurji, a form of Lord Krishna. In the same interview, the artist further revealed that Nita Ambani specially requested him to add real gold leaves to the blouse. The artist said:

"First, we did the drawing and got it approved. After that, we printed the blouse. We applied yellow colour on the base of the blouse where we wanted to apply real gold sourced from Pannigaron Ka Mohalla in Jaipur. We were specifically told by the designer, Manish Malhotra, to work on the blouse with gold."

When Nita Ambani talked about promoting India's rich cultural heritage on the global stage

On July 18, 2024, the Pichwai artist, Shehzad Ali Sherani, took to his Instagram account to pen a post about getting the opportunity to showcase his craft on the global stage. He re-shared the post originally uploaded on NMACC's Instagram page. A part of this post contained Nita Ambani's appreciative words for Indian craft. She was quoted as saying:

"Over the course of Anant and Radhika’s wedding, I have enjoyed embracing the beauty of Indian weaves and embroideries, handcrafted by master artisans using age-old traditional techniques. Sarees, with their intricate details of karigari, have brought me immense joy for as long as I can remember. I am humbled to play a small role in preserving and promoting our rich cultural heritage."
