Pooja Bhatt is one of the supremely talented personas in the entertainment industry. Hailed as the queen of the Bhatt family, Pooja is the daughter of eminent filmmaker, Mahesh Bhatt and his ex wife, Kiran Bhatt. For those who don't know, Pooja started her career at the mere age of 17 with Mahesh Bhatt's television film, Daddy. With her top-notch performance, she even won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Her two following films, Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin and Sadak also did well at the box office and brought a lot of fame and praise to her. However, by the age of 24, Pooja's career was told to be over by the industry. Recently, the diva opened up about the same.
Bigg Boss OTT 2 participant and an amazing actress, Pooja Bhatt recently sat down for an interview with Siddharth Kannan. During the conversation, the actress opened up about her journey in Bollywood. Pooja shared that at 17, she made a name for herself in the film industry with her debut film, and by 19, she was hailed as a superstar. The actress shared that by the time she reached 24 years old, the industry declared that she was over. Sharing more details about the same, Pooja mentioned:
"I was 17 when I did my first film Daddy. After Daddy, Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin, Sadak was like a hat-trick. At 19 I was a superstar, by 24 the industry said, ‘Yeh toh khatam ho chuki hai.' So I said this is the only industry in the world where at 24, when most people are just starting out, you have reached the height of stardom, they have already brought you down to the pits saying you are finished.”

Going further in the interview, Pooja Bhatt said that at the age of 25, she gave up acting and started her production house. Sharing more details about the same, Pooja revealed how she won her first National Award, got her self-esteem back, made films, and travelled all over the country. Elaborating more on the same, Pooja stated:
"At the age of 25 I started my production (house), made Tammanna. I won my first National Award, I got a sense of self gratification, I got my self-esteem back for making a film like that. I travelled throughout the country, met people, that film raised money for charity, I got my National Award. Then I made Dushman with Kajol, then I made Zakhm, and the rest is history.”
In the same interview, Pooja Bhatt shared that by then, she accepted that her stardom was over and she was in a whole new phase of creating films. Revealing more details about the same, Pooja stated that she hadn't faced the camera for a long 21 years and worked behind it. Pooja revealed:
"Then I was producing and directing films, for 21 years I didn’t face the camera, I was behind the camera. I had accepted that the stardom phase is over and now you are in a new phase in your life when you’re making films. I made Jism 2 last, and launched Sunny Leone."

In one of the episodes of BB OTT 2, Pooja Bhatt opened up about her financial issues. In the show, Pooja once called the wild card contestants 'Chote log', which led to a major argument in the house. However, later, she cleared that she didn't mean the word to talk about anyone's financial conditions as she had also seen a stiff financial crunch in her life and recalled having only Rs. 4000 in her bank despite being a big star.
