Poonam Pandey is known as one of the boldest actresses in the glamour world. She made her Bollywood debut with the film, Nasha in 2013 and hit the headlines for the controversies in her life. However, the actress has reportedly left for the heavenly abode due to cervical cancer. The news of Poonam's death came as a shock in the glamour world.
Poonam Pandey has reportedly died due to cervical cancer at the mere age of 32. On February 2, 2024, a post was shared on the actress' official Instagram handle that confirmed the news of her demise. The post can be read as:
''This morning is a tough one for us. Deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living form that ever came in contact with her was met with pure love and kindness. In this time of grief, we would request for privacy while we remember her fondly for all that we shared.''

Poonam Pandey is extremely popular for her viral social media posts and controversial stints. However, a few social media users are claiming that it may be a publicity stunt by her. Meanwhile, a report by India TV's journalist, Namrata Dubey confirmed the news of Poonam's death and shared that her PR team will issue a press release sometime later. The report further mentioned that the actress passed away in her hometown in Uttar Pradesh.
In her personal life, Poonam Pandey got engaged to her long-time boyfriend, Sam Bombay, in July 2020. Finally, in September 2020, the duo tied the knot. After a few days of their wedding, Poonam had filed a complaint against her husband, Sam for molesting her while they were honeymooning in Goa. Poonam has often talked about her abusive relationship with Sam and how she has been a victim of domestic violence since the beginning of their relationship.

In one of the episodes of Lock Upp, Poonam Pandey got really emotional while recalling her tumultuous personal life and started crying. When Anjali asked her the reason, Poonam shared that she was reminded of her relationship with her estranged husband, Sam Bombay. Crying inconsolably, Poonam shared:
"Maine bahut try kiya yaar chaar saal but nahi sambhalna yaar bahut try kiya maine. Meri bhi shaadi tikk gayi hoti yaar. I don't think I will ever get anything in life. Akeli Marungi Main."
