South Indian actress, Pranitha Subhash is a popular face in the film industry. For the unversed, Hungama 2 fame, Pranitha married the love of her life, Nithin Raju, on May 30, 2021. And the duo is currently enjoying every bit of parenthood journey with their cutesy munchkin, Arna, whom they welcomed on June 10, 2022. Recently, on July 17, 2023, the actress provided us with a glimpse of the celebration of the festival of Bheemana Amavasya at their household. For the uninformed, it is a festival that is celebrated to ensure the long life of the male members of the family. However, the picture Pranitha dropped on her IG handle created a lot of buzz as she was seen touching her hubby's feet. The actress faced a lot of trolls for the same. And now, the actress has reacted and given a befitting reply to the same.
On July 17, 2023, Pranitha Subhash took to her IG handle and dropped a picture as she performed a ritual on the holy festival of Bheemana Amavasya. In the photo, we can see the actress looking gorgeous in a yellow-hued salwar suit. The picture featured the actress sitting on the floor near her husband's feet. She was also seen touching her hubby's feet as a part of the rituals. However, it didn't go well with the netizens, who started trolling the actress for the same.

Pranitha Subhash also penned a long caption as a befitting reply to trolls. Sharing the picture, the actress wrote that she was offering pooja on the occasion of Bheemana Amavasya. The actress stated that many could think touching her husband's feet is a sign of patriarchy, but it holds great significance for her. For the uninformed, Pranitha was also attacked by the trolls last year for the same reason, and she mentioned the same on her long note. Further in the note, the actress added that in Sanatana Dharma, several rituals have several stories behind them, explaining why they are so important. The actress then slammed the trolls by saying that arguing that Hindu rituals are patriarchal is completely baseless, as Goddesses are worshipped equally here.

While many Internet users found everything 'Patriarchal', other netizens supported the actress's decision to follow her heart. Reacting to the photo, one user wrote, "I am an independent woman, I'm a feminist, I would consider myself woke and I support this because this is her decision."
