Bollywood queens, Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor shared screen space in the movie, Aitraaz. However, their not-so-good relationship in real life has often hit the headlines. If reports are to be believed, it was after Kareena's role was overshadowed by Priyanka's negative character in the film, which created a kind of tussle between the two actresses. However, it is noteworthy that the actresses now seem to be cordial with each other and are spotted meeting one another in a friendly manner.
A Reddit user shared an old clip from one of Priyanka Chopra's interviews with NDTV. In the video, Pee Cee was asked about her reaction to Kareena Kapoor's statement that the latter's film, Heroine, is better than the former's Fashion, and no one requires a National Award to describe the same. For the unversed, Fashion won several awards, amongst which Priyanka bagged a National Film Award for Best Actress, IIFA Award for Best Actress, Stardust Award for Actor of the Year – Female, Filmfare Award for Best Actress, and Guild Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.

The interviewer also mentioned, "So the side remarks don't change in Bollywood." Listening to this, Priyanka, too, wittily answered and took a dig at Kareena. Priyanka talked about the sour grapes story from Aesop's Fables and mentioned, "Well, I guess if you don't have one, then you know the sour grapes philosophy." Following this, both Priyanka and the interviewer broke into laughter.
Soon after the video was shared online, netizens rushed to the comment section to react to it. Some social media users mentioned that Kareena needed only this kind of sassy comment due to her bad nature. One user commented, "It's funny how Priyanka outwitted her every time. This or the accent remark. 'Same place her boyfriend got his'." Another mentioned, "National award Ko kharab bolraha hai toh actually sour grapes makes sense, but for Filmfare it is not."

Earlier, during one of the episodes of Koffee With Karan, Kareena had made a nasty remark on Priyanka. In one of the show's segments, Kareena asked the host, "I wonder where Priyanka got her accent from?" After this, when Priyanka graced the show in some other episode, she was asked to comment on Kareena's question about her. To this, Priyanka gave a befitting reply and mentioned that from the same place where Kareena's then-boyfriend-now-husband, Saif Ali Khan had learnt. Priyanka said:
"I got it from the same place her boyfriend (Saif Ali Khan) got it from."

However, things seem to have already taken the opposite turn between Kareena and Priyanka over the years. For instance, in an interview with Mid-Day, Kareena was asked about the frequent catfights that used to take place between leading actresses of the 90s. Moreover, she was pointed out about her infamous catfights with Priyanka. To this, Kareena revealed that back in those days, leading ladies were purposely put against one another. However, speaking about her fight with Priyanka, Kareena revealed that it was just a matter of immaturity, and shared:
“Oh God! The ’90s were full of it, the ’90s started, and in 2000, everyone was having a catfight. Kuch bhi bol do and catfight. All rubbish. I was like, what is going on? But I think maybe we all had that energy- you know, some sort of thing where we were all wanting to just prove ourselves. But I don’t think that attitude lasted, and you kind of learn through that.”
