During her stay inside the BB house, Mannara always received support from her cousin, Priyanka Chopra, and the duo shares a close bond. For the unversed, Mannara's real name is Barbie Handa, and she changed it to Mannara Chopra upon Priyanka's suggestion.
Now, an old video of Mannara Chopra and Priyanka Chopra has resurfaced on social media, in which the latter was seen introducing her cousin to her fans. In the clip, Priyanka interacted with the media and told them that Mannara is the newest member of her family to join the film industry. However, what caught our attention was that initially, PeeCee called Mannara a ‘Chopra’ but quickly added that the latter is not really a part of the Chopra clan. Priyanka said:
“This is my newest Chopra to... actually she’s not a Chopra. The newest member of my family to join the movie business, this is Mannara.”

For the unversed, Mannara's mother is Priyanka and Parineeti's aunt from their paternal side. As soon as the video surfaced online, netizens flooded the comment section with their reactions. While some were shocked to learn that Mannara is not a part of the Chopra family, others mentioned that the actress's real name is Barbie Handa. A user penned, "No hate but she claims to be Chopra right?" Another one wrote, "Her real name is Barbie Handa!" Meanwhile, a netizen commented, "PC say truth kyuki she is not Chopra she changed her surname for popularity."

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Mannara Chopra opened up about her decision not to talk about her sisters, Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra in the Bigg Boss house. Talking about the same, she shared that if she had taken her family’s name, they would have tagged her as a nepo kid. Mannara also shunned the rumours of her strained relationship with her cousins and said that her relations are very sorted. The actress added that she wanted to be known for her talents and fight her own battles, rather than taking help from her cousins.

For the unversed, in this ceremony, the sister-in-law hides the groom's shoes and requests money for their return. Responding to the same, Mannara said:
“Hum sabko rings mili thi, mujhe meri behen or hum sab cousins ko cute rings mili thi. Paiso ka mujhe nahi pta hota, mujhe koi paise deta toh main apni mom ko pakda deti hu.”
