Priyanka Chopra Is Called 'Dramatic' For Her Tribute To Her Dad In An Old Clip, Simi Garewal Reacts

Simi Garewal, who is best known for her show, Rendezvous With Simi Garewal, hosted another celebrity chat show, Simi Selects India’s Most Desirable, which aired on television in 2011. When Priyanka Chopra appeared as a guest on the show, she dedicated a song to her father, late Dr Ashok Chopra. For the unversed, Priyanka was extremely close to her father, and ever since the latter's demise in 2013, the loving daughter misses him every day.

On September 1, 2023, Simi Garewal took to her Instagram handle and shared an old video from her show, which starred Priyanka Chopra Jonas. In the video, the actress was seen dedicating Mariah Carey’s song, Hero, to her father, late Dr. Ashok Chopra. Before Priyanka started singing, she was heard saying:

“This is for my daddy.”

Simi Garewal reveals PeeCee's dad wanted her to become an international singer

The actress swooned our hearts with her soulful voice, as she bared her heart out while singing the melodious song. As soon as Priyanka stopped singing in the video, Simi came to her and gave her a warm hug. Sharing the video, Simi Garewal penned a long note and revealed that PeeCee's dad wanted her to become an international singer. She further added:

“India's Most Desirable Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Her dad's dream for her was that she should become an international singer. She exceeded it by becoming a super global star! But seriously, with that voice don't you think Priyanka and Nick should cut a duet? I think it would rock!!"

Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra’s fans went gaga over the video, and they appreciated the actress for her singing skills. However, the video didn't go well with a section of social media users. Taking to the post's comments section, an Instagram user dropped a mean comment that read, “So much drama in singing, probably to cover the flaws, You’d notice that actual trained singers don’t have this much drama." However, Simi Garewal couldn't take it and she replied to the troll by saying:

“Drama?? Where was the drama? Do elaborate..(if you can!) (face with rolling eyes emoji)."

Simi Garewal hails Priyanka Chopra as the true hero

Well, not just this. Simi Garewal also wrote another comment to heap praises on Priyanka Chopra and hailed her for being a true hero. Simi also asked the actress to never stop fighting for her honour and wrote:

“Never 'forget fighting' for your honour. You had the courage to defend your values - and yourself. I wish you continued strength to live your life on your terms. I wish you peace of mind. I wish you daily joys. You are a true hero. Believe it!”
