Priyanka Chopra Jonas does not need an introduction. She is the winner of the Miss India 2000 beauty pageant and one of the finest actresses globally. However, it has been a while since Priyanka was last seen in a Hindi film, and fans' wait might just be over.
Priyanka Chopra was last seen in Hindi cinema in her 2019 film The Sky Is Pink. It has been five years since then, and the actress has been preoccupied with Hollywood projects. While fans were super excited when Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zara announced a collaboration between Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif, the film has been postponed indefinitely.
In a recent conversation with HT City, Priyanka gave her fans a glimmer of hope. She shared that she will announce her Bollywood comeback film in 2025. She revealed that she has been meeting with filmmakers and actively reading scripts, looking for a Hindi film. PeeCee added that 2024 was a busy year for her, but she definitely has something for her fans coming up. She was quoted saying:
"Not joking, I meet many filmmakers here, read scripts. I have actively been looking for something I want to do in Hindi. This year was really busy for me. But I have something up my sleeve, I will leave it at that."
Priyanka Chopra Jonas was further asked if she was hinting at Jee Le Zara with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif. The actress shared that for updates about the film, they'll have to ask Excel, which is Farhan Akhtar's production house. Priyanka's revelation has left her fans quizzed about what the actress has planned for the future. She stated:
"You will need to speak to Excel about that."
Zoya Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar's Jee Le Zara was announced in 2021. The film created a buzz with the stellar cast. However, the film has faced several delays since its initial announcement. It was reported that the makers were facing difficulties in getting the cast together for the shoot as our three boss ladies have a pretty busy schedule with their families, other film projects and businesses. However, both makers had assured the fans that the film was not shelved, and an active effort was being made to align everyone’s schedules.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is done with her shoot of the highly anticipated sequel to the Prime Video series Citadel. She shared on Instagram on December 3, 2024, that she has completed the shoot for the series' season two. Priyanka expressed her gratitude towards the cast and crew of the series and also thanked her team. The actress will also appear in Heads of State, co-starring Idris Elba and John Cena. She said:
"A few days late, but I’ve been on a roller coaster. We wrapped Citadel season 2!! This year has been a whirlwind for me, but to be surrounded by so much love and support makes everything easier. I’m so grateful to the cast and crew, and especially my team, who propped me up. Now, I’m Diving into the holiday season. Sound on."
