When life gives you hardships, the support of your near and dear ones is all that you need. The ones who stand by you in your testing time, the ones who guide you when in question, are the ones who are your true peeps. And when Ishaan Khattar’s father and Shahid Kapoor’s stepfather, Rajesh Khattar and his wife, Vandana Sajnani Khattar were going through hardships for embracing parenthood, there came a ray of hope in the form of Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ mom, Madhu Chopra.
We will dig a bit more about this in the paras to come, but before that, let us inform you that Rajesh Khattar and Vandana Sajnani Khattar are married to each other since 2008. It’s been almost 10 years that the two have been married and finally, they have been blessed with a baby boy, who was born to them on August 24, 2019, and the couple has lovingly named him, Vanraj Krishna Khattar. Amidst all the tension, it was Priyanka Chopra’s mom, Madhu Chopra, who had spread positivity for them. And now, she has also sent a lovely handwritten note for the newbie parents and the little one. Vandana Sajnani Khattar took to social media and shared a lovely handwritten note by Priyanka Chopra’s mom, Madhu Chopra, which could be read as, “Welcome home baby, Vanraj Krishna Khattar. With lots of love- Gramma Chopra.” Yes, Madhu called herself ‘Gramma’. Vandana captioned her post as, “To the one who knew it long back :) Thanks so much for pumping me with a lot of strength, those wise words, tips and above all, sending me all the positive vibes from whichever part of the world you were @madhumalati. After the baby’s birth, the elated parents had a word with the Bombay Times. In an interaction with the portal, they had talked about their challenging journey to parenthood as well as how they had fought with the odds. Rajesh had remarked, “It’s a great feeling, but this journey has been anything but smooth. Many months ago, we were ecstatic when the doctor revealed that Vandana was carrying twins, but during her third month, she was diagnosed with a condition and had to be hospitalised. A few months later, it came to light that the growth of one of our babies was very slow and finally, we lost him.” (Also Check: Trishala Dutt's Comment On Maanayata Dutt's Picture Reveals All Is Good In The Dutt Family)
And had further added, “The situation was such that we needed to go in for immediate delivery to save the other baby. Thus, our son was born three months before he was due. Vandana’s surgery did not go smoothly and she took a long time to heal; also, our baby was put in NICU (Newborn Intensive Care Unit) and was there for two-and-a-half months. The mother and son struggled throughout the journey, and finally, our little Krishna arrived home on Janmashtami. This is the most beautiful gift bestowed on us by the Gods.”
On the other hand, Vandana had opened up about the hardships she had faced, “I was carrying twins and I was the happiest woman in the world. But by the third month, I was told to stitch my cervix. I was admitted to the hospital and was there with my legs up for three months, absolutely immobile. That was the toughest experience and the most difficult time of my life. I went through bouts of depression and hours of crying. My husband was my pillar of strength and he stayed with me in the hospital every single day, sleeping on the sofa.”
And had further added, “All I can say is that everything that could go wrong, went wrong. Also, my condition worsened, and I had to stay in the hospital for another month because something went wrong with the surgery and I had a wound infection. Everything took a toll on me and I felt like I was having a breakdown. I prayed for strength and whatever the hardships, I knew I had to fight it out. I did not give up! What mattered was my child; the pain was nothing in front of this miracle baby, who fought for two-and-a-half months in the NICU.” (Do Read: Alia Bhatt And Ranbir Kapoor's Unmissable Chemistry At The Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations In Antilia)
