Priyanka Chopra Reacted To Her Alleged Beau SRK's Remark On Going To West, 'Comfortable Is Boring..'

Priyanka Chopra rose to immense popularity ever since she was crowned Miss World in 2000. Her subsequent debut in the Indian film industry further boosted her fame and cemented her name. Priyanka Chopra was asked to share her thoughts on Shah Rukh Khan's remark on not working in the West

Once, when Priyanka was on a promotional spree for her spy thriller, Citadel, she was questioned about her decision to leave an already established and flourishing career in Bollywood and her shift to Hollywood. At South by Southwest (SXSW) 2023, a reporter mentioned many Indian actors' reluctance to move to the West and quoted Shah Rukh Khan's statement on the same. The reporter was quoted as saying:

"Shah Rukh Khan says, ‘why should I go there (Hollywood), I am comfortable here.’"

Priyanka Chopra said 'comfortable is boring' for her

Being an extremely well-spoken, articulate and bold person, Priyanka quickly remarked that she doesn't like comfort and said that it's boring to her. The actress further emphasised that she wasn't being an arrogant person but was self-assured. Sharing that she never needed validations from executives, Priyanka said:

"Comfortable is boring to me. I am not arrogant, I am self-assured. I know what I am doing when I walk onto a set. I don’t need the validation of executives. I am willing to take auditions, I am willing to work. I do not carry the baggage of my success in one country when I walk into another country."

Further in the conversation, the Citadel actress shared that she is popular for her professionalism, which is something she has been immensely proud of. Moreover, she also highlighted how her father instilled the value of discipline in her life. Sharing that her father taught her to not take anything for granted, PeeCee added:

"I am very professional, and if you ask people around me, I am known for my professionalism. I take pride in it. My father was in the military, and he taught me the value of discipline. He taught me not to take the value of what you have been given for granted."

Priyanka Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan's alleged affair

For the uninitiated, previously, there were rumours that the Don 2 co-stars, Priyanka Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan were romantically involved while they were filming for the Farhan Akhtar film. However, neither of the two commented much on this matter. Meanwhile, there were reports which also claimed that after SRK's wife, Gauri Khan got to know about their alleged affair, she forbade them from working together in the future.
