Priyanka Gandhi signed her nomination papers for the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency on October 23, 2024, sending shockwaves in the Indian political space. The seat was vacated by Priyanka's brother, Rahul Gandhi, ahead of the by-election, which is set to commence on November 13, 2024. During the nomination process, Priyanka Gandhi was accompanied by her brother and the leader of the opposition, Rahul Gandhi. Congress president, Mallikarjun Kharge also joined the duo.
Priyanka Gandhi also opened up about her wealth in the official affidavit along with the nomination process. As per a report in India.com, Priyanka has an estimated net worth of Rs. 12 crore, which includes movable assets of Rs. 4.24 crore and immovable assets of Rs. 7.74 crore. The politician also mentioned that she has estimated liabilities of Rs. 15.75 lakhs. As per the affidavit, Priyanka's income in 2023-2024 was around the whopping sum of Rs. 47.21 lakhs.
Breaking down Priyanka Gandhi's wealth in numbers, she owns a property worth Rs. 1.09 crore and spent Rs. 5.05 crore on its construction. She also inherited property valued at a whopping Rs. 2.10 crore. The politician also holds Rs. 52,000 in cash. Talking about her investments, she has invested Rs. 2.24 crore into mutual funds, which includes 13,200 units of Franklin India Flexi Cap-Growth. Priyanka also has Rs. 17.38 lakhs deposited into her PPF account.
According to a report on India.com, Priyanka Gandhi also owns a Honda CRV worth Rs. 8 lakh, with gold worth Rs. 1.15 crore and silver worth Rs. 29 lakh. She also owns land worth Rs. 2.10 lakhs, which is dedicated to farming only. Courtesy of her love for the mountains, Priyanka Gandhi also has a house in Shimla worth Rs. 5.63 crore.
Priyanka Gandhi has an estimated net worth of Rs. 12 crore, while her politician-brother, Rahul Gandhi's total assets touched the mark of Rs. 20 crore. The former president of the Congress party reportedly earned Rs. 1.02 crore as income in 2022-2023. There's not a huge difference in Rahul and Priyanka's wealth, but when we bring the latter's husband, Robert Vadra into the conversation, everything changes.

For the uninitiated, Robert Vadra has an estimated net worth of Rs. 65 crore. While he has Rs. 39 crore in movable assets, Vadra holds immovable assets worth Rs. 27.64 crore. However, the Indian entrepreneur has a liability of Rs. 10 crore. Talking about his income in 2023-2024, he earned Rs. 15 lakh. The combined net worth of Priyanka and her husband, Robert Vadra, is around the whopping sum of Rs. 78 crore.
It will be interesting to see how Priyanka Gandhi is going to perform in the Wayanad constituency, which was earlier led by her brother, Rahul Gandhi. After Priyanka filed her nomination, Rahul shared his thoughts on the same in a short conversation with the media. The doting brother backed his sister and admitted that he had full faith in her leadership. He said:
"She will actually do a good job. She has many qualities. She goes into a lot of detail. And she is my sister."
