Puneet Khurana, a famous Delhi cafe owner, took the drastic step of ending his life after being tortured by his estranged wife, Manika Pahwa. They had a smooth marriage for over a year, but things started crumbling, and the end result was that Puneet lost his life due to the constant pressure and allegations levied on him by his estranged wife and her family.
Recently, a call recording between Puneet and Manika made it's way to the social media. In the recording, Manika was heard hurling abuses at Puneet and almost treating him like nothing. She called him a beggar and claimed to slap him if he came in front of her. Not only this, Manika even stated that it was because of him that she left his home. Manika was heard saying:
"Manga kya hai tujhse bikhari, manga kya hai terese. Tujhse manga kya. Tu toh ab aap ke layak hai nahi. Tere se hi dekha hai. Teri wajah se ghum raha hoon bahar. Teri wajah se ghar se bahar nikali thi mai. Teri shakal bhi nahi dekhna chahti, keech ke chanta padega saamne aayega."
The call recording made its way on Reddit, wherein netizens expressed their opinions. One user wrote, "Nothing will happen, we will shout, cry but will not step up to share awareness. Indian Law is just for show. Nothing for middle class. As a father to a son, spreading awareness to be cautious of such wolf by giving one experience of such case happened recently. If this can happen to such big shots. What middle class like hope for?" Another commented, "Why no national news channels aren't taking this topic up? Why is the opposite gender always given priority? atul subhash that police man. Punit and one more case idont remem but this is too much like still no action why? what wrong with judicial system."

Puneet Khurana's father looked super emotional and revealed that a media person showed him his son's last video, wherein he clearly stated that he was committing suicide because his wife and her family had been torturing him and asking for money. The late 40-year-old's father said:
"Kisi media wale ne mereko dikhayi hai. Vo 1 minute ki video hai jisme vo saaf kahe raha hai mai apne saas-sasur, saali aur biwi ke chakkar mein atmahatya kar raha hoon."

Puneet's father almost broke down while stating that the administration should shoot them as they were already dead. He said:
Sir hum toh mare pade hai, prashasan hum goli maar de, hum toh mare hi pade hai. Parshasan humara support nai kr raha hai, ek pahucha hua hai shamshanghaat. 2 saal mein hum bhi yahi pahuch jayege."
Puneet Khurana was found dead at his home. Now, his last video has been going viral. He was dressed in a grey-hued t-shirt, looked in pain with unkempt hair and beard. Puneet claimed that they had filed a mutual divorce and agreed to certain conditions in court. He accused his wife, Manika and her parents of torturing him. He said:
"I am about to commit suicide because I am being truly tortured by my in-laws and my wife. We already filed for a mutual divorce."
Puneet Khurana further shared that he was trying to fulfil the condition within the stipulated time period. He also claimed that halfway through the stipulated period, his wife and in-laws came up with new demands and asked him for an additional 10 lakh rupees, which he couldn't pay. He stated that he had already asked his parents for a lot of money. Puneet, who was on the verge of breaking down, said:
"They are asking for another 10 lakh rupees, which I can’t pay off. I cannot ask my parents to further pay it. They have already paid enough because of me."
