Remember the famous reality show, Raaz Pichhle Janam Ka, which took the participants, including celebrities, to their past lives, and it was hosted by Ravi Kishan. The show was a super hit due to the unique concept, wherein the renowned Past Life Therapist, Dr. Trupti Jayin, helped famous celebrities find out about their past lives. Some famous faces that were seen on the show were Sambhavna Seth, Chunky Panday, Ravi Kishan, Payal Rohatgi, Shekhar Suman, Manavendra Singh Gohil, Celina Jaitley, Monica Bedi, Shakti Kapoor and many more.
It was around 2009-2010 when Indian audiences were hooked on watching reality shows, and that is when a channel came up with this unique concept, of Raaz Pichhle Janam Ka, wherein they called a past live therapist to conduct a session on some renowned faces. Recently, in a podcast with Shlloka, Dr. Trupti Jayin shared her life experience working as a past life therapist. She also talked about her stint in the famous reality show and revealed that she got Rs. 8 lakhs per episode. She was quoted as saying:
"Would be getting stress as they would tell me every episode is going to be 8 lakh rupees, so it better go well. I would say, 'Yeah okay'. Like, see I never met these people before, they came to me first time on the set. So, it's what 20-25 minutes with that person and then I have to take them on the bed and do the session."

Further in the interview, Trupti was asked how long it takes to complete one session. To which, she said four hours. She added that it takes her three hours to do the session, and then they converse after the session. Trupti also revealed that it takes 30 minutes for the person to get into trans and visit the past life. On the same podcast, Trupti revealed that the show was a sensationalised show.
The show had two seasons, and they were hosted by Ravi Kishan. While it gained a lot of TRPs, many criticised the show, and it was called unscientific by the medical community. In fact, many critics raised doubts about the process of going through past life on the show and claim that it is different from the usual past-life regression therapy. Later, in 2010, an NGO named Bharat Jan Vigyan Jathan got a court notice to the show for spreading superstition on national television.

For those who don't know, past life regression is a form of hypnotherapy, wherein an individual is made to recall the memories from their past lives. It is a gentle way of dealing with the issue a person is going through in the current lifetime. Hinduism and many other religions believe in the concept of reincarnation. Hence, it is stated that whatever issue a person is facing in their lives, can be solved with the past life session.
