Radhika Merchant is on cloud nine as she is all set to tie the knot with the man of her dreams, Anant Ambani, on July 12, 2024. For the past few days, the Ambani and Merchant families have been hosting back-to-back pre-wedding rituals, and every look of Radhika has captivated millions of hearts. But it was her simple yet elegant look during her griha shanti puja, which made our hearts flutter.
But do you know that Radhika had recreated her mother’s bridal look for her griha shanti puja? Yes, in a collage shared by celebrity makeup artist, Loveleen Ramchandani, we got a glimpse of Shaila Merchant’s wedding look. In the collage, Shaila donned a traditional Gujarati-style Peer bindi, brahmi nath, and a simple maang teeka, which was recreated by Radhika for her griha shanti puja. It was Radhika’s simplicity and charming smile which added stars to her look.

In an official video shared by their wedding photographer, Epic Stories, we get to see Radhika’s griha shanti puja's glimpses. For the puja, she was dressed in a traditional Gujarati draped saree with a pink-toned blouse. She kept her makeup soft and subtle. Radhika accentuated her look with a neckpiece, matching earrings, a maang teeka, and a brahmi nath.
It was her peer bindi, which accentuated her look. She half-tied her hair and adorned it with gajra. On the other hand, her groom, Anant, was dressed up in a red-hued kurta with a Nehru jacket with golden work and a cow motif. The puja also had rituals dedicated to their Kuldevi, Randal Maa, to harmonize the influence of the nine planets and bring a lot of positivity to Radhika and Anant's new beginning.

The tradition of putting a peer bindi is common in Gujarati culture as it symbolises Goddess Parvati. The red and white dotted bindi above the eyebrows stands for love, matrimony, peace, and tranquility. The same bindi was worn by Nita Ambani, Tina Ambani, and Isha Ambani earlier on their respective weddings.
Radhika simply knows how to ace each of her looks. Earlier, during the Garba-Dandiya night hosted by Kokilaben Ambani, Radhika wore a purple-hued ghagra choli from the label, Jigyam. Radhika's stunning ensemble featured intricate motifs of Lord Shrinath ji, along with a fusion of handcrafted pearl, marodi, and mochi work. She paired her ghagra with a heavily embellished choli and glam makeup. Moreover, diamond jewellery, glam makeup with a small bindi, and a middle-parted bun hairdo completed her look for the day.
