Bollywood actor, Rahul Roy is a famous name in Bollywood. The talented actor made his debut with Mahesh Bhatt's film, Aashiqui, in 1990 and became an overnight sensation. For the unversed, the actor suffered a brain stroke during the shoot for Nitin Gupta's directorial film, LAC – Live the Battle in Ladakh in 2020. However, the actor's sister, Priyanka Roy, and brother-in-law, Romeer Sen have been taking care of him. And recently, Priyanka and Rahul have opened up about the same.
In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Rahul Roy's soul sister, Priyanka revealed how she came to know that her brother's health was deteriorating. Talking about the same, she mentioned that during that time, Rahul was in Ladakh, and he couldn't even manage to talk to her. Priyanka shared that she even called the film’s director, Nitin, and requested him to look after her brother, Rahul, but he paid no attention.

Soon after that, Priyanka shared that her brother was then taken to a doctor at Kargil, who told them that Rahul Roy might have Aphasia due to a brain stroke, and that is when Priyanka told the director that she needed her brother at any cost and managed to get him on the helicopter. Further in the interview, Priyanka shared how she and her husband had difficulty in arranging money for Rahul’s hospital bills. She also stated that Nitin claimed to have helped them by providing them money but it was actually Rahul’s pending payment for the film. Rahul Roy added that the stroke happened because he was diabetic and he was not supposed to shoot at such a high altitude. Rahul said:
"The director should have done a background check."
In the same interview, Rahul Roy then mentioned the names of those who offered him financial help. The actor shared that actor, Suchitra Pillai has helped him financially. He also expressed his gratitude to Salman Khan and shared that the latter cleared his pending bills at the hospital in February. Rahul revealed that Salman Khan called him and asked if he could be of any help. Thanking Salman Khan, Rahul shared:
"The pending bill of the hospital was cleared by Salman in February. He called and asked if he can be of any help and he helped. I am very thankful to him."

Rahul's, Sister, Priyanka Roy also heaped praises on Salman Khan and shared that Salman Khan helped them but never created any noise about the same. Calling Salman a gem, Priyanka mentioned:
"He never created a news out of it. This is not some kind of ceremony or award that you need to publish, I realised this man (Salman) is a gem.”
Talking about Rahul Roy's current health status, earlier, in an interview with The Times Of India, Rahul Roy's brother-in-law, Romeer Sen talked about the former's health and shared that "Rahul is now out of danger."
