Rajkummar Rao Talks About His Wealth; Says He Pays EMI And Cannot Afford A Rs. 6 Crore Car

Bollywood actor, Rajkummar Rao has been quite busy this year with back-to-back film releases, including box office successes like Stree 2 and Srikanth. His latest film, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, premiered over the weekend and has already garnered a range of critical responses.

Rajkummar Rao comments on his wealth and financial affluence

The Stree 2 actor recently appeared in an interview with Samdish Bhatia on his YouTube channel, ‘Unfiltered by Samdish’. In this candid conversation, Rajkummar Rao addressed popular assumptions about his satisfaction and gratification in life. Reflecting on it, the actor said:

“Santusht hoon par bhookh abhi bhi bohot hai… bohot bhookh hai abhi bhi… pet nahi bhara kabhi bhi.”

In response, the host chimed in, implying the satisfaction that comes once the bank account hits a certain amount. Rajkummar Rao was quick to respond to these presumptions, saying:

“Yaar, honestly itna paisa hai nahi jitna I’m sure logon ko lagta hoga ki ye toh bhai Rs.100 crore. Itna nahi hai. Bhai, EMI chal rahi hai. Matlab ghar liya hua hai, uski EMI hai acchi khaasi. Toh matlab aisa bhi nahi hai ki nahi hai, par aise wala bhi nahi ki aaj mann kiya ki showroom mein jaa ke, ‘Kitne ki hai wo?’ ‘Sir, Rs. 6 crore ki.’ ‘De de’, aisa wala nahi hai.”

Rajkummar Rao admits he's still a few paychecks away from six-crore spending sprees, but he could definitely swing a car worth Rs. 50 lakh and can easily afford a Rs. 20 lakh one. He says:

“Lekin agar 50 lakh ki hai… de de, lekin discussion hoga… yaar ek second, le to sakte hain, le le kyaa… haan 20 lakh ki hai tab aaraam se le lenge.”

In the interview, Rajkummar Rao also offered glimpses into his childhood days, his experiences after coming to Mumbai, and how he met his wife, Patralekhaa.     

Rajkummar Rao’s career and latest box-office release

Rajkummar Rao has grown to be a popular Bollywood actor for his acting prowess in versatile roles. After two back-to-back hits, he is back with his latest release Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, a romantic comedy directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa. The film, co-starring Tripti Dimri, follows a small-town couple whose intimate video gets misplaced, creating a state of pandemonium. The film also stars actors, Vijay Raaz and Mallika Sherawat in significant roles.
