Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela hopped on to parenthood and welcomed their daughter on June 20, 2023. After a few days, the doting parents announced her name as Klin Kaara Konidela and also shared that the name was taken from the Lalitha Sahasranamam. Ram Charan and Upasana are very private people, who give huge importance to their privacy.
The couple was very thoughtful when it came to the design of Upasana's birthing suite at Apollo Hospital. The entire focus of the design was to give a sense of serenity and calmness to the new mom. Popular architect, Pavitra Rajaram took care of the design and designed the suite in such a manner that it oozed unbound happiness.

The entire design was inspired by Buddhist architecture, which gave an idea of wholeness in nothingness. Spread over an area of 1,200 square feet, the birthing suite consisted of an additional room for the spouse and other family members. The entire room was done in shades of white. The designer looked up to the Vedas while designing the room and focused on the five different shades of white.
White is the symbol of peace and harmony, and so was Upasana’s birthing suite. From tonal whites, pearly whites and a bit of silver, the entire room had layers of different tones of white. Describing the design, Pavitra said:

“We really did that by playing with shades of white. We took our inspiration from the Vedas, which describe the five different shades of white, the white of the conch shell, and the white of the waves in the moonlight and the white of the jasmine flower, so on and so forth. And that was the idea that we used to create this harmony in the birthing suite. So, as you transition to the suite, what you have is beautiful tonal whites, they are pearly in some places, slightly silvery in some places, soft and dense like clouds. Just layering it, I think, creates a sense of luxury, but also of serenity.”

The suite had pale wood flooring along with jute rugs. The sofa, bed and cushions were in cream and ivory colour, complementing the colour palette of the room. The wall in the suite featured nature-inspired wallpaper, within the panelling. The natural linen used in the room was hypoallergenic to ensure that the mother and the baby are absolutely safe from any dust.
The entire suite gave a homely vibe and looked nothing like a hospital. Heaping praises on Pavitra Rajaram and her vision while designing the classy suit, Upasana said:
“We envisioned it to be a restful modern sanctuary with soft texture materials, layered neutrals and warmth of pale wood and rattan. It doesn’t look like a hospital but feels like a home away from home.”
