"Saif and I never fought. Par haan, woh naraaz the. Race, after all, was his franchise. Race is Saif's biggest hit to date. After that, the poor guy had four or five films that didn't work well. Every actor goes through these kinds of ups and downs in their life."

Ramesh Taurani revealed that it was a business decision to replace Saif Ali Khan with Salman Khan

In the same interview, Ramesh Taurani added that the Race franchise was expensive to produce. The film's box office earnings and profit were significant for makers due to its high budget. So, they had to consider the actor's box office figures, and it was a business decision to go ahead with Salman Khan. In his words:

"An actor's box office standing matters when casting him in a franchise film. it just didn't make sense (to cast him in Race 3). It was a business decision, nothing personal. He's a very good actor."
