The heartthrob of South film industry, Rana Daggubati found his ‘better’-half in an entrepreneur, Miheeka Bajaj. It was on May 12, 2020, when Rana had confirmed his relationship with Miheeka, giving a pleasant surprise to his fans. Posting a loved-up picture with Miheeka, Rana had announced that he’s taken and had broken millions of hearts with his caption, "And she said 'yes' #MiheekaBajaj”. Soon, his post flooded with congratulatory messages and wishes for the couple.
Because Rana Daggubati and Miheeka Bajaj’s relationship came as a surprise to everyone and the couple had kept it under wraps for a long time, their fans have been curious to know every single detail of their journey of love. Be it how they met, how love blossomed between them, who proposed and when or when are they getting married, fans want to know everything. Gradually in interviews, Rana has been opening up about his secret relationship with Miheeka and their wedding plans. During an interview with CinemaExpress, when Rana was asked if he thinks life will change post-marriage with Miheeka, he quickly denied and said, "She is so supportive and always keeps things easy for me." Since Rana Daggubati had announced his relationship with Miheeka Bajaj, there have been reports emerging in the media about their probable wedding. But it was only a few days back when Rana’s father, Suresh Babu had confirmed to Deccan Chronicle that the wedding will take place on August 8, 2020, as per the guidelines set by the government to control the spread of the pandemic. In an interview with the Indian Express, when Rana was asked if he would be having a grand wedding, he had replied, "Depends on the world's situation. I found the strangest time to get married." Revealing how he had proposed his ladylove, Miheeka Bajaj, Rana Daggubati had remarked, "She knew where I'm getting at when I called her and then she met me in person, that's it. I remember I said a bunch of things together. For me, it was serious. It was commitment. When I met her, that's the time I felt I am ready to do this. It was that simple, for real." On May 20, 2020, Rana and Miheeka’s families had sat together for a formal meeting to formalise a date for the couple’s engagement and marriage. Posting a picture with his beautiful fiancee, Miheeka, Rana had written, “And it’s official!!” Miheeka had also posted two pictures from the ceremony and had written, "To the beginning of forever @ranadaggubati" and "My happy place!@ranadaggubati". While the picture had looked like from their engagement ceremony, Rana Daggubati’s father, Suresh Babu had then clarified to the New Indian Express, “It’s not an engagement. Our families sat together on Wednesday to discuss what all has to be done for the pre and post-wedding functions. It’s a ritual among the Telugus to meet the bride’s parents before fixing the engagement and wedding dates. For the uninitiated, Miheeka Bajaj is a Mumbai-based interior designer, who runs an event management and decor company, Dew Drop Design Studio. She is a London graduate, having completed her Masters in Interior Architecture from the University of the Arts, London. Reports suggest that Miheeka and Rana have known each other for the past ten years but had started dating two years back.
