On February 21, 2020, Ranbir Kapoor was supporting his team, Mumbai City FC in their match against Chennaiyin FC at Mumbai Football Arena with his girlfriend, Alia Bhatt. The couple was spotted in Mumbai City FC’s home jersey, while Alia teamed it with black hoops, Ranbir flaunted his team’s cap. However, their team lost by a margin of one goal to Chennaiyin but it was their cute chemistry that won a lot of hearts on the internet. Talking about Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's wedding rumours, the couple always clarifies it. In an interview with the DNA, the Gully boy had talked about the same and had said, “I’m too young to think about it. When I feel there’s a need to be in a stronger bond with him, we will come to it. But right now, I’m married to my work and I also have my relationship going well on the side." Alia Bhatt had further revealed the only thing that irritates her boyfriend, Ranbir is the discussion about their marriage. She had stated, “And about getting married? Well, that’s the only thing that’s irritating right now. Every morning I wake up to the news that I’m getting married. I tell him what the hell. I guess he’s used to it.”
On Ranbir Kapoor's birthday in 2018, his mommy, Neetu Kapoor had taken to her Instagram handle to post a heartfelt birthday wish for her son. But the notable thing was that the picture had two lovebirds (Ranbir and Alia) and two future-in-laws (Neetu and Soni) together in one frame. The reports had also stated that Alia under the guidance of head chef, Dilip Pandit had baked a cake for her future in-laws.
