Ranbir Kapoor Once Publicly Called Deepika Padukone 'Cheapness Ki Dukaan', Left Her Embarrassed

Ranbir Kapoor once made shocking revelations about Deepika Padukone and shared that the latter loves to talk cheaply and gives cheeky replies.

Ranbir Kapoor Once Publicly Called Deepika Padukone 'Cheapness Ki Dukaan', Left Her Embarrassed

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone started their careers with Saawariya and Om Shanti Om respectively. Soon after, they were pitted against each other and won hearts with their adorable chemistry in many movies like Bachna Ae Haseeno, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, and Tamasha. Deepika and Ranbir also dated each other for a few years but parted ways due to the latter's infidelity.

Ranbir Kapoor revealed Deepika Padukone is cheap

Recently, we stumbled upon an old video of Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone during the promotion of their film, Tamasha, in 2015. In the video, Ranbir candidly opened up about Deepika's nature and shared that she responds very well to cheap and cheeky comments. The actor was heard saying:

"Deepika ke andar jo hai ek bahut badi cheap girl basi hui hai. You can talk very naughty with her, you can get cheap with her, and she responds very well. You can get cheeky with her and she will respond with more cheekiness. Agar aap usko ungali karoge na, wo chhodegi nahi, wo aur ungali karegi."

Ranbir Kapoor leaves Deepika Padukone embarrassed with his nasty comments about her

Speaking along the same lines, Ranbir revealed that Deepika is not the kind of girl who sulks when someone comments on her. Instead, she knows how to give it back in a savage manner. Ranbir also shared that once Imtiaz Ali told him that Deepika's eyes lit up when somebody talked to her in a cheap manner. He added:

"She is that kind of girl ki aap use chidaoge, wo sulk nahi karegi, wo aapko wapis degi. Imtiaz Sir said he also noticed this while shooting Love Aaj Kal. Intially, he used to be shy and bas direction deta tha. But when he used to talk cheaply to her, her eyes would lit up. She responds to cheapness very well. So the next time you see her, road pe bhi kahi guzar rahi hai, to bade cheap tareeke se bulana, 'Ae Padukone'."

Though, intially, Deepika looked uncomfortable in the video, she later started playing along. She made goofy expressions and laughed as Ranbir made the shocking revelations. Later, Deepika asked Ranbir how would he talk to her cheaply, the latter said he couldn't do so in front of the lens. However, he later mentioned that Deepika is cheapness ki dukaan and said:

"I can't be in front of the camera. Can't even say that in front of the camera. Vaise to I can be cheap with her kyunki cheapness bhara hua hai iske andar, cheapness ki dukaan hai ye."

Netizens slam Ranbir Kapoor for being gross and backhanded in the old clip

As soon as the video was shared online, many netizens flooded the post's comment section with their hilarious reactions. A user penned, "Dp clearly looks uncomfortable but didn't know how she could handle the situation, although I stan her but sometimes her behaviour around Ranbir really concerns me." Another commented, "Her expression was so uncomfortable at the start but then she prob didn’t know how to respond to started to laugh along with it. He was being sooo backhanded here. So weird n gross how he used to speak about women."
