While 2018 was an iconic year for celebrity weddings with the fragrance of love in the air throughout the twelve months, 2019 was quieter compared to it. With the arrival of 2020, we anticipated with excitement to many celeb couples’ weddings with our fingers crossed. The year had begun with a bang with Armaan Jain and Anissa Malhotra’s big-fat Punjabi wedding and we had hoped that his cousin, Ranbir Kapoor will be the next Kapoor to tie the knot in 2020. In every few months, there are reports about Ranbir and Alia Bhatt’s wedding but the duo had always refuted it, calling it to be just mere rumours. No matter how many times Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt had denied their wedding rumours, the reports don’t seem to fade away. From Alia and Ranbir becoming a part of Kapoor and Bhatt families to Krishna Raj bungalow being renovated for their wedding, updates about Ralia’s marriage frequently makes it to the headlines. Amid the reports of Ranbir and Alia’s 2021 wedding, the latter clarified in an interview with Pinkvilla, “When will I marry? Why is everyone asking me when I’m going to get married? You know I’m only 27 years old, and I think it’s too soon to get married right now.”
Soon after Alia Bhatt’s denial on her 2021 wedding with beau, Ranbir Kapoor, the 38-year-old star confirmed that if not for the pandemic, they would have sealed the deal this year. In an interview with Rajeev Masand, when the journalist recalled Ranbir saying that he wants to be married by 32 and have kids by 34 and asked him to comment on it, the Brahmastra star retorted, “Well, I think it would have already been sealed if the pandemic had not hit our lives. I don’t want to jinx it by saying anything. I want to tick mark that goal very soon in my life.”
When asked if he had taken any classes during the lockdown, Ranbir Kapoor praised his overachiever ladylove, Alia Bhatt and said, “My girlfriend Alia is a bit of an overachiever, and she probably took every class there is -- from guitar to screenwriting. I always feel like an underachiever next to her. But no, I didn’t take any classes. Initially we were dealing with the family crisis, and then I got into reading, spent time with my family, and I watch two-three films every day.” Ranbir also said that he is hopeful that 2021 will be an exciting year both personally and professionally for him. Back in 2017, Alia Bhatt had bought a flat in Juhu and it was the first house she had purchased with her own money. Since then, Alia had purchased two more flats in the same vicinity and one of them was bought in 2019, which had reportedly cost her Rs 13.11 crore. In a YouTube video uploaded on her channel, Alia had spoken about how it took her two years to build her flat little by little and she had designed it with the help of her sister, Shaheen Bhatt and an interior decorator. Alia had revealed in the video that she was a part of the designing process as she's always been very 'particular about her space'. Alia had also said that she strongly felt for her new place as it was the first time, she had moved out of her home into a house which she bought with her own money.

A few days ago, the reports of Alia Bhatt buying a new house in the same apartment as her beau, Ranbir Kapoor, had made it to the headlines. Reportedly, Alia had purchased a flat on the fifth floor for a whopping Rs 32 crores while Ranbir stays on the seventh floor. As per the reports, the interiors of the house are done by Gauri Khan. On December 7, 2020, founder of QThree Ventures, Jubin Peter had posted pictures with Ranbir Kapoor but it was the photo wall in the background that had caught everyone’s attention. Zooming into the wall between the two French windows featuring framed photographs, we had spotted a throwback picture of Ranbir with his late father, Rishi Kapoor from the sets of Prem Granth.
