We have already seen Ranbir and Alia a couple of times enjoying with each other and Alia also loves to spend time with the Kapoor family. we have spotted her standing by the Kapoor family in difficult times. For instance, when Rishi Kapoor's treatment was going on in New York, Alia Bhatt was there with Ranbir Kapoor and his family. Her concern towards Ranbir's father, Rishi Kapoor was clearly visible when the pictures of the whole family with Alia also in it went viral on the internet. Amidst film promotions and hectic schedules, we have seen Alia and Ranbir flying off to New York to spend some quality time with the latter’s parents. It was in June 2019, when a wide array of film celebs had visited Rishi ji in New York and had wished him a speedy recovery.
But, this time things are a lit bit nervy as Rishi Kapoor is hospitalised in Delhi and the whole family is with him in the capital right now. The absence came in the notice, when Rishi ji, Neetu Kapoor, and Ranbir Kapoor wasn’t present at the mehendi ceremony of Armaan Jain with his fiancee, Anissa Malhotra. One of the reliable sources of Pinkvilla has informed that at the moment, nothing is clear about the reason why Rishi ji had been admitted to the hospital. With all the members of the family, Ranbir’s girlfriend, Alia Bhatt is also there and has wrapped up the shoot of Gangubai Kathiawadi to be with his family in this difficult time. But, according to an updated byte from PTI, Rishi ji had revealed that the cause of his treatment in Delhi is nothing related to cancer or any big disease. He said, "I have had an infection which is getting treated. Nothing dramatic. Pollution got me I guess."
We hope everything’s alright with our beloved Rishi ji and we have believed that he is going to beat down every disease or problem that comes on his way. The legendary actor is a fighter in real life, he has battled with cancer for eight long months. But, the actor has praised the efforts of his family members, who were there from the first day till the end in his battle in an interview with the Deccan Chronicle. He said, "Neetu has stood by me like a rock. Otherwise, I am too difficult a person to handle as far as food and drink are concerned. The veteran actor had also talked about his impatient behaviour during his cancer treatment, "A person like me who has never had patience, this is God’s way to teach me patience. Getting well is a slow procedure. But it makes you grateful for the gift of life." Rishi ji had further retorted, "My eighth month of treatment started on May 1 in the US. But God has been kind! I am in remission, meaning now I am cancer-free. I will have to do a bone marrow transplant, which in all probability should take another two months minimum. Being in remission is a big thing and it’s all because of my family and my fans prayers and duas that have worked. I thank them all."

Talking about his battle with cancer then, it was the disastrous date of September 29, 2018, when Rishi Kapoor had hinted that he is battling with an ailment and for his treatment, he is taking an off from work. He had taken to his Twitter handle and had tweeted, "Hello all! I am taking a short leave of absence from work to go to America for some medical treatment. I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. It’s been 45 years ‘plus’ of wear and tear at the movies. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon."
There were a lot of fans and celebrities who had shown their concern and love for Rishi ji through their reactions in the comment section. Also, Rishi ji’s brother, Randhir ji had shared his emotions with a tweet in which he had written, "We don't know yet what the exact nature of his ailment is. Rishi himself doesn't know what he's suffering from. He has not even started undergoing tests there; how can people speculate that he has cancer and that too, one that has escalated to an advanced stage."
