Ranbir Kapoor is one of the most successful actors in Bollywood. He has proved his versatility as an actor through his performances. The actor is the son of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. Despite being a star kid, his childhood wasn't an easy one. The actor recently sat down for an interview with Nikhil Kamath, revealing how his parents' fights used to scare him as a child, and continue to impact him to date.
In his interview, Ranbir Kapoor recalled that he witnessed his parents' fights as a kid. He shared that his parent's relationship was going through a rough patch when they used to have constant conflicts. The actor added that he used to sit in the staicase and hear them fight, which was a disturbing experience as a child. Ranbir was quoted as saying:
"I would sit on the staircase and hear them fight, it disturbed me."

Further, Ranbir shared that his had sister moved out of their home to pursue higher studies. Ranbir added that he alone witnessed his parents' fights, which scared him. As a result, he still can't deal with loud noises. In his words:
"Anybody who speaks in a louder tone, it disturbs me, since childhood. My parents went through a lot of fights. We lived in a bungalow, so I have spent most of my childhood on the staircases, hearing them fight. I was always scared and on the edge."
Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor got married on January 22, 1980. The couple was married for 40 years, and their relationship went through several ups and downs. Despite this, Ranbir shared that his parents' gradually sorted out their differences and developed an affection for each other. Later, when Rishi was diagnosed with cancer, Neetu was always by his side. In Ranbir's words:
"I saw the selfless service my mother was doing for him and that kind of love was something which I probably at that time couldn't have imagined."

In the same interview, Ranbir said there was always a distance between him and his father. He stated that his father, Rishi Kapoor, was a good person and never shouted at him. But Rishi was short-tempered, and the father-son duo didn't express their feelings with each other. The Animal actor said that he used to fear his father and always bowed before him and agreed to every thing that his father said to him.
