Ranbir Kapoor is one of the most handsome and talented actors in Bollywood. He has carved his name in the hearts of millions, courtesy of his exceptional acting skills and pleasant personality. The actor has worked in blockbuster films like Brahmastra, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Rockstar, Sanju, Shamshera, Barfi, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and many more. Currently, Ranbir is gearing up for his next film, Animal. Now, ahead of the film's release, the actor opened up about his character and revealed how he remembered his late father, Rishi Kapoor during the shooting of Animal.
On November 23, 2023, Ranbir Kapoor along with his co-stars, Rashmika Mandanna attended the trailer launch for his film, Animal. During the press meet, the actor revealed how he would always ask the director of the film, Sandeep Reddy Vanga for a reference so that he could develop his character accordingly. For the unversed, the trailer of the film showed Ranbir's obsessive love for his on-screen father.

Ranbir further stated that he never understood the emotional state of his character. However, subconsciously, his late father, Rishi Kapoor served as an emotional reference for him in his film. Elaborating more about it, Ranbir said that his father was a very passionate and aggressive man, so he tried to imitate his characteristics in his film, Animal. In Ranbir's words:
"Main hamesha jab Sandeep se milta tha toh main hamesha ek yahi question puchta tha ki Sandeep mujhe ek reference de de. Mujhe yeh sab kbhi mehsoos nahi hui thi. Mujhe eventually subconsciously kahi na kahi, mujhe mere papa ki yaad aagyi. I think jis tarike se woh bat krte the, he was a very passionate, aggressive man. So, I tried to..."

During the same press meet, Ranbir recalled his daughter, Raha's birth and revealed that his baby girl was born during the shooting of his film, Animal. The actor shared that he would straightly go back home to meet his little munchkin after the shoot. Calling it surreal, Ranbir said:
"I was doing this film and my daughter, Raha was born toh I would shoot and then go home and see her, it was surreal."

Ranbir further revealed how he never gets attached to his on-screen characters. Elaborating more about it, the actor mentioned that he always prefers to get back to his family like himself and not as someone else. Ranbir added that he would act like his character from the film, Animal, his wife, Alia Bhatt would beat him. In his words:
"I am a detached person. I never take any character home. It's not fair for my loved ones. Agar main agar jaake aise act karta toh meri biwi mujhe maarti."
September 4, 2023, marked the 71st birth anniversary of the veteran actor, Rishi Kapoor. And his family members, including his bahu, Alia Bhatt paid a heartfelt tribute to him. The actress dropped a picture of her husband, Ranbir Kapoor from their mehendi ceremony on her IG handle. In the picture, the actor could be seen dancing his heart out while holding a photo frame of his late father. Sharing the picture, atop it, Alia penned:
"Always with us…always..."
