Ranbir Kapoor is one of the biggest names in the Indian film industry. Over the course of his career, the 41-year-old has starred in some of the major blockbusters of Hindi cinema. Despite being such a prominent star, the actor prefers his privacy. However, recently, Ranbir opened up about a lot regarding his professional and personal life on Nikhil Kamath's podcast, People by WTF.
In the interaction, Ranbir opened up about his relationship with Alia Bhatt. While Nikhil and Ranbir were conversing, the former asked the actor to define 'romance'. He immediately answered that he has been lucky to get married to someone, who is a friend to him and with whom he can watch movies, chat and laugh. In his words:
"Watching a movie, laughing, chatting, you know I am so lucky that I married somebody who I am extremely close to as a friend. She's my best friend and I got really lucky with that."

Further, the host asked Ranbir's opinion of how Alia is as a person. The doting husband immediately said that his wife is a 'wonderful person' and shared that he first met her when she was just nine years old. Ranbir further discussed that he met Alia a number of times over the years and knew that she was special. Sharing that Alia makes him very happy, the actor said:
"Alia is a wonderful person, she's somebody who is very colourful. Alia is somebody who I met over the years and I knew that this person is special. She really makes me smile, I am really happy to go home to her. I love going on a holiday with her but I love coming home to her."
In the same conversation, Ranbir acknowledged that Alia has made several efforts to mould herself according to him. He added that the actress has changed her personality a lot for him than he did for her. When the host inquired how Alia changed herself, Ranbir said that earlier, his wife used to talk very loudly, and he did not quite like such tonality because of his father, Rishi Kapoor. Appreciating Alia's efforts to change that, Ranbir added:
"She's made certain efforts and I must acknowledge this about her, that everything I complained about or she complained about, I think she made better efforts than I have, she changed more for me than I have for her. She used to speak in a very loud tone, and I think because of my father's tone growing up always kind of rattled me. She made efforts to change it."

Furthermore, Ranbir revealed that he started living with Alia in the first year of their courting period, which is 2018, and also shared that he enjoyed living with Alia during the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, the actor also talked about his little munchkin, Raha Kapoor, who was born in 2022. He shared that the biggest high of his life has been the birth of his daughter, and he also mentioned that now he fears death.
