Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are hailed as one of the 'It' couples in Tinseltown. The duo, who started dating in 2018, got married in an intimate ceremony in April 2022. Later, in November of the same year, they welcomed their little munchkin, Raha, into their lives. Recently, the ever-secretive Ranbir Kapoor shared many insights pertaining to his personal life.
While interacting with Zerodha's co-founder, Nikhil Kamath, on his talk show, People by WTF, Ranbir revealed how he first met his now-wife, Alia, and gave a sneak peek of their love story. The actor said that he first met Alia when she was just nine years old for a photo shoot with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and kept meeting one another over the years.

However, Ranbir and Alia's love blossomed on their flight to Tel Aviv. They were headed to the city to work with a movement coach for their film, Brahmastra, which was directed by Ayan Mukerji. The actor further shared that they started living together the minute their romance was on. In his words:
"This is 2018, we started working on a film called Brahmastra. The first thing we did on Brahmastra was that we went to Tel Aviv to work with a movement coach. And on the plane was when we started our romance. That first day, it was on. We started living together. She lived alone, I lived alone."
In the same conversation, Ranbir also praised his wife, Alia, saying that she is a colourful person and makes him feel at home. Sharing that he has immense respect for his wife as an actor, an artist, a person, a daughter, and a sister, Ranbir mentioned that he loves going home to her.

Previously, Alia Bhatt has also recalled the same flight story during her appearance on Koffee With Karan season 7. She disclosed that they were seated next to each other on the flight and even exchanged a few notes. This flight sealed the deal for Alia and Ranbir. She was quoted as saying:
"When I was single after a very long time, everyone around me, my sis and friends said you and he (Ranbir) are going to be together. We talked about it on our flight. We were seated together and then something went wrong with his seat. Later his seat got fixed and when we exchanged notes. The vibe started there only and the rest is history."
