Recently, Rishi Kapoor’s wife, Neetu Kapoor shared a cryptic New Year post on Instagram. In the picture, the entire Kapoor clan was seen enjoying the New Year celebrations in New York. She captioned the picture as, “Happy 2019. No resolutions only wishes this year !!! Less pollution traffic!! Hope in future cancer is only a zodiac sign !!! No hatred less poverty loads of love togetherness happiness n most imp. Good health.” And that one sentence dropped the major hint on Rishi Kapoor’s illness and got everyone back home thinking if he was diagnosed with cancer. Check out the post here:
In a recent interview with HT Times, Randhir Kapoor spoke in length about the speculation that has again started doing the rounds. And this time, he neither denied nor verified anything about veteran actor’s medical condition. He said, “I don’t know much about it but this much I can tell you that [Rishi] is doing well, that’s all.” He further added, “Let people say whatever they want to. That he is doing is well is evident from the photo that I, too, have seen. He is having a good time with everyone and has stepped out to enjoy a good meal. He will soon be coming back to India. We are looking forward to that right now.” (Also Read: Varun Dhawan Finally Reveals If He Is Getting Married To Girlfriend Natasha Dalal In 2019)

Previously, for an interview with NDTV, Riddhima Kapoor talked about her father, Rishi Kapoor in length and said, “My dad is as honest on Twitter as he is in real life - he is a very straightforward and that's what's amazing because, in today's times, we need more people like him who are not afraid to speak their mind and are totally frank about certain issues, so kudos to him.” (You May Also Like: Sara Ali Khan Comments On Being Compared To Her Mother, Actress Amrita Singh, Says It'll Take Time)
For those who don’t, Rishi Kapoor loves his family more than anything but the actor had many times gone on record to mention his not-so-comfortable relationship with son, Ranbir Kapoor. In an interview, he had said, “I know I've screwed up my relationship with Ranbir even though my wife kept telling me about what I was doing. It's now too late to change it; both of us will not be able to adjust to the change. It's like there's this glass wall, we can see each other, we can talk, but that's it.”
