Rani Mukerji is counted amongst the most successful actresses in Bollywood. She began her acting journey in the 1990s, and has worked in some of the blockbuster films of her time. Coming to her personal life, it was on April 21, 2014, when she tied the forever knot with the love of her life, Aditya Chopra. The filmmaker-actress duo is then blessed with a princess on December 9, 2015, whom they lovingly call Adira. Moreover, the doting parents opted for a no-picture policy for their daughter. Thus, very few photos of her have surfaced on the internet since then.
Now, in a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Rani Mukerji opened up about the time when she had embraced motherhood for the first time in her life. She also talked about being completely immersed in her motherhood job, and how her husband, Aditya Chopra pushed her to get back to films. She mentioned that after giving birth to Adira, she was fully consumed in taking care of her child. It was when Aditya said that Rani's massive audience has been waiting for her comeback on the screens and that their daughter can grow up beautifully. Mentioning how he motivated her, Rani said:
"So I was so completely immersed in my role of motherhood that my husband nodded and nudged me and said 'Hello, you are Rani Mukerji you need to go back to the arch lights. You can't do this. Your child is born. She will grow up. She will have her own life. But you cannot forget who you are. You fans are waiting for you so you need to go back to work."

Following her husband and ace filmmaker, Aditya's words, Rani then worked for the film, Hichki when Adira was just 14 months old, and it was her return to silver screens after the short break. Thus, she advised all the women to focus on their work despite embracing motherhood, and talked about how she 'shattered' many societal beliefs. She also threw light on the success of her film, Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway, and mentioned that she was told the chances of her getting roles after having a baby were "completely bleak". However, she mentioned how she could possibly shatter all of that notion by working in back-to-back hit films.
Earlier, Rani Mukerji had graced episode 6 of Koffee with Karan season 8. Therein, she opened up about keeping her daughter, Adira much away from the public eye. During the course of the conversation at Koffee with Karan, the host of the show, Karan Johar asked Rani how she could successfully shield her daughter from the paps. To this, Rani explained her successful efforts to protect Adira from the media, despite the presence of paparazzi, which was possible with only an endearing look of her. The actress mentioned that she initially asks the paps not to click Adira's pictures, and then they get scared after looking into her eyes.

Further, Rani recalled the first time she had a serious conversation with the paps regarding her decision to shield her daughter from the public eye. Rani revealed it was when she travelled with Adira outside the country, and this was the first encounter of her baby girl with the paps. Thus, she soon requested the paps not to click a picture, "Please don't take pictures of the baby." However, Rani mentioned that the paps are also extremely cordial with her and have respected her wishes since that day. Furthermore, since then, every time she travels, the paps patiently wait until Adira is safely inside the car or airport before they start capturing Rani's photos.
