Rani Mukerji is one of the most talented actresses of Bollywood. Counted among the evergreen heroines of the industry, the actress has swooned millions of audiences with her unforgettable movies, impressionable characters and whatnot. Personally, Rani is one of the most humble and charismatic divas of her generation. For the unversed, she is married to Aditya Chopra and the couple is blessed with a daughter, Adira.
In an interaction with Galatta India, Rani Mukerji talked about her iconic film along with Shah Rukh Khan, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and its valuable impact on her life. The actress revealed that in a society where women don’t open up even after their marriages, her film brought a fresh take on these women trying to be honest with their relationships. Adding how it led her personally to find the right reason for getting married at the end of the day, Rani shared:
“There are many women who don't open up in their marriages for a long time. The years pass and they become old and they are like 'Why didn't we be honest to ourselves?' But it's too late for that. So as a young girl at that point of time when I did KANK, it also helped me to take a decision for my marriage that I need to marry for the right reason. Because if you marry for the wrong reason, you will end up being with a person and suffer all your life.”

Talking more on the same, Rani shared that her film, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna gradually became an eye-opener for modern relationships and women at large in society. While on one hand, it guided people to choose their partners judiciously, on the other hand, it also led many marriages to break apart for good reasons. In her words:
“It was an eye opener for a lot of young girls, eye opener for a lot of men, and eye opener for a lot of people who were in marriages, and a lot of marriages broke after that because they went to the theatre and they were extremely uncomfortable watching the film because they were watching their life and it's not easy to watch a film which is actually depicting their own life.”
Previously, in an interaction with India Today, Rani Mukerji recalled an anecdote from her childhood and revealed how she used to miss out on celebrating her birthdays throughout. Elaborating on the reason behind the same, the actress revealed how right at the time of her birthday every year, her final examinations were scheduled, as a result of which made it impossible for her to enjoy the special day. Moreover, she added that now, as a mother, she fulfils her birthday desires by celebrating those of her daughter, Adira to the heart’s content.
