Ever since October 21, 2018, when Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh announced their wedding on social media, their fans are eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of the magical wedding pictures of the bride and groom. From speculations about who they’ll be wearing for the wedding to how they’ll make entry at their wedding, DeepVeer fans are going crazy over the wedding. Finally our wait is over! Deepika and Ranveer have taken to their social media handles to release their wedding picture and captioned it with a heart. Deepika and Ranveer both wore Sabyasachi outfits. For the Konkan wedding, Deepika is wearing a silk saree with zari work, while dulhe raja is radiating happiness in white kurta and dhoti. For the Sindhi wedding, Deepika wore a red coloured lehenga with heavy embellishments and on her dupatta, 'sada saubhagyavati bhava' is written. On the other hand, Ranveer colour-coordinated with her in a red coloured sherwani.
Sabyasachi too shared the same pictures of the bride and groom on his official Instagram handle, and captioned it, "Deepika Padukone (@deepikapadukone) and Ranveer Singh (@ranveersingh) head-to-toe in Sabyasachi for their wedding in Lake Como, Italy. On October 21, 2018, Deepika and Ranveer had put an end to all the speculations and rumours about their impending wedding and released and joint statement through their wedding invitation card. The same could be read as, “With the blessings of our families, it gives us immense joy in sharing that our wedding is set to take place on the 14th and 15th of November 2018. We thank you for all the love you have showered upon us over the years and seek your blessings as we embark on this incredible journey of love, loyalty, friendship and togetherness. Lots of love, Deepika and Ranveer.”
Ranveer and Deepika exchanged their wedding vows and were pronounced husband and wife in Konkani style wedding that took place on November 14, 2018 at Villa del Balbianello, Italy. The dress code seems to be white and golden for the guests at their Konkani wedding. On November 15, 2018, Deepika and Ranveer will tie the nuptial knot as per the Sindhi rituals honouring the family of the groom. Deepika and Ranveer have asked their wedding guests to not shower them with gifts and instead donate it to her NGO- The Live Love Laugh Foundation. Mid-Day quoted a source stating, “The bride and groom have requested the guests to not shower them with gifts. If they wish to give them anything, they've requested that donations be made to Deepika's foundation that actively works towards creating awareness and removing the stigma around depression. Both Ranveer and Deepika are deeply committed to the cause and want to involve all their guests in the good deed.”
A few days ago, in an interview with Rajdeep Sardesai on his show, India Today India Tomorrow, the elated to-be bride Deepika had shared, “I'm excited in the same way as I'm excited about signing my next film. Marriage is something that I've always looked forward to in my life, as would any other girl." Further speaking about her inspiration towards a happy marriage, Deepika went on to say, “I've seen my parents do it so well and so successfully and I think for me, that's the way I would like my married life to be as well. My parents have a beautiful relationship. The way they have managed their professional life as well as being together as a family. They have set such amazing benchmarks that both I and my sister (Anisha Padukone) would like to follow."
