The 65th Filmfare Awards were held at Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati on February 15, 2020, to honour and celebrate the finest films and actors of the Bollywood industry. In this year’s Filmfare awards, we saw a lot of memorable moments and unforgettable dance performances. On the night, legendary actor, Govinda received the Award for Excellence in Cinema Award for his impeccable contribution to the Bollywood industry during his surreal career. Also, Bollywood’s Khiladi Kumar, Akshay Kumar had paid tribute to all the soldiers of the Indian Army as he dressed up in his popular character ‘Havaldar Ishar Singh’ from the film, Kesari. The award night also witnessed a breathtakingly beautiful performance by Bollywood’s dhak dhak girl, Madhuri Dixit on some of the golden songs of the Bollywood industry. Talking about the awards, Gully Boy broke all the records by winning the maximum number of awards, Ranveer Singh received the Best Actor Award, Alia Bhatt was honoured with the Best Actress Award, the Best Director Award was bestowed to Zoya Akhtar. However, the night was extra-special for Ranveer Singh as he received his second Filmfare Best Actor Award after marriage and was seen overwhelmed with emotions on the stage while receiving the award from the legendary actress, Madhuri Dixit Nene.
The Gully Boy actor thanked his co-star, Ali Bhatt for her support throughout the film and also inspiring him with her dedication. He said “Ek bahut bahut khaas kalakar jinke sath acting karke mujhe samajh nahi aaya yeh kaisi hai. Aur kaisey karti hai jo karti hai. I have learned so much from you, you blow my mind away. What a special-special artist you are Alia Bhatt.” Ranveer also thanked his wife, Deepika Padukone and said "Pichle saal meri shaadi hui thi, pichle saal muje Best Actor mila, iss saal bhi muje Best Actor mil raha hai matlab, mere ghar mai sachme Laxmi aayi hain. I love you, baby, I miss you. I wish you were here. I coming straight to you, catching a plane and coming straight to you." The actor took to Instagram and shared some pictures and videos from his celebrations with the team of Gully Boy. Take a look. Well, this isn’t the first time when we are seeing Ranveer Singh showering praises on his wife, Deepika Padukone. In 2019, Ranveer had penned a heartfelt note for Deepika. The actor had talked about the way Deepika changed his life and made it worth living. An excerpt from his long post can be read as “Deepika is the most amazing person I've met in my life. And I'm not just saying this because she's my wife. I find it particularly challenging to articulate all my feelings about her, and even though I find language to be a limiting means to express myself, I shall try. I am the proudest husband in the world. She inspires me to be the best man I can be. She makes my life worth living. She is truly the light of my life.”

No wonder, both Ranveer and Deepika are madly-in-love with each other, giving us all some serious married-life goals. However, Ranveer Singh had talked about the fear of losing his wife, Deepika with Filmfare magazine's editor, Jitesh Pillai on his show, Famously Filmfare. When Jitesh asked him if he ever thought he would lose Deepika, the Simmba actor had remarked, “No, I never had such a thought, of course, there are ups and downs, but I had made up my mind that she was the one, she is the only one whom I wanted to marry, so I was prepared to go through anything."
In the same interaction, Ranveer had revealed that Deepika is a strict wife, who has banned him from doing three things. Revealing the things he had stated, “Staying out of the house till too late, leave the house without eating and miss her calls”. Talking about Deepika, he had revealed that she is gharelu and stated, "She is so gharelu...I love it...I love it. I am telling you I am going to be the husband of the millennium.
