It was in October 2018, that Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh put a full stop to all the conjectures and speculation going on about their wedding by making an official announcement of the same. And it was on November 14-15, 2018, that this madly-in-love couple walked down the aisle in two different ceremonies- Konkani wedding and Punjabi-Sindhi one. Though their wedding was known to all, they wanted to keep it a private one and no media was invited.
Recently, Ranveer revealed the three things that his wifey, Deepika Padukone has banned him from doing. Ranveer told in an interview with Famously Filmfare, “Staying out of the house till too late, leave the house without eating and miss her calls”. Talking about Deepika, he revealed that she is gharelu and stated, "She is so gharelu...I love it...I love it. I am telling you I am going to be the husband of the millennium. I am going to glide and breeze through it." (You May Also Like: Sania Mirza Makes First Appearance Post Izhaan's Birth, Twins With Sis Anam On Kapil Sharma's Show)
Do you know Ranveer Singh did a very lovely gesture for his better half, Deepika Padukone? Well, for the ones who don't know, Ranveer moved into Deepika's house rather she coming to his house or they purchasing a new one. And now, in a recent interaction with a leading daily, Ranveer was asked the reason behind shifting into Deepika's house. To this, the Simmba actor replied, “I’ve grown up seeing a marriage where the attitude is to make it work regardless of anything. A marriage is a commitment, out is not an option. So, whatever you have to work through, you do. The most sensible and convenient thing was for me to move into her set-up. She is comfortable there and I don’t want to displace her. I always try to give her priority.”
In the same interaction, Ranveer Singh also shared his views on adopting Deepika Padukone’s surname. He then went on record to say that he wouldn’t think twice before adopting Deepika’s surname. The Bajirao Mastani actor was quoted as saying, “It's a got a nice ring to it. Anyway, I dropped my surname, so I needed a new one. It's a great and legendary surname. Why not, I say!" Deepika too was a part of Famously Filmfare prior to Ranveer. When she was asked if her wedding would affect the box-office of her movies, she gave an epic reply to it. The Om Shanti Om debutante replied, “Let’s hope so. Everyone is married. Does that mean that the industry comes to a standstill? Does that mean that we have no girls left? I guess, previously it was the person’s choice more than box-office diktats. If actresses didn’t work after marriage, it was their decision to prioritise something else overwork. Probably, they were exhausted and just wanted to live life and nurture their families. But I’m sure the millennial woman doesn’t feel like that. When you don’t feel like that, it won’t be that way”. For Deepika, her parents, Prakash Padukone and Ujjala Padukone’s marriage is an inspiration. She once had stated, "I've seen my parents do it so well and so successfully and I think for me, that's the way I would like my married life to be as well. My parents have a beautiful relationship. The way they have managed their professional life as well as being together as a family. They have set such amazing benchmarks that both I and my sister (Anisha Padukone) would like to follow."
