Ranvir Shorey and Sana Makbul never saw each other eye-to-eye, since the beginning of the show, Bigg Boss OTT 3. While they called each other with plenty of hurtful names, things took an ugly turn when Ranvir Shorey claimed that Sana Makbul wasn't a deserving winner. Not only this, he even stated that Bigg Boss had a soft spot for her. Now, Ranvir clarified his statement, which gained a lot of traction.
On August 5, 2024, Ranvir took to his Instagram handle and posted a video message. He talked about his journey inside the house and also clarified his statement. He claimed that he had been misquoted by the media. Ranvir added that the media twisted his words. Ranvir further said that he only expressed his opinion that there could have been more deserving winners. He said:

"Humare media waalo ko baat ghumane ki aadat hai bilkul humare is saal ke winner ki tarah. Maine sirf ye kaha tha ki mere opinion me isse kahi zyada deserving winners ho sakte the."

Ranvir further stated that, according to him, Armaan, Lovekesh, and Shivani could have been the winner. He also called Sana beautiful and intelligent, but he also added that the Bigg Boss house is not just a place for abusing or playing dirty games. Ranvir added that he judged people on the parameters of showing empathy for people inside the show. In clear words, Ranvir added that he wasn't raising fingers on Bigg Boss as he was still scared of him. He said:
"But main is hisab se sabko judge kar rha tha aur in parameters me maine Sana ko nahi dikha kisi gharwale ke liye kaam karte hue ya empathy rakhte hue. Main Bigg Boss pe ungli nahi utha raha tha kyuki main unse itna darta hoon ki abhi awaaz sunu to khad ho jau. I think ye life bhar rahega."
After the winner's name was declared, Ranvir Shorey expressed his point of view in an interview with News18 Showsha. He called Sana Makbul an 'undeserving winner'. He added that she had not given any positive contribution to the show, and he somewhere thinks that Bigg Boss has a soft spot for her. He said:
"I don’t think she has done anything positive in the house. Other than going on and chanting, ‘I am selfish’, ‘I want to win’ or assuming that the show is about how much bad talk you can give and calling it determination, I don’t think she has added any positive influence on anything in the house or on the housemates. I don’t consider her the most deserving candidate. But yet, I think Bigg Boss had a soft spot for her somewhere. I feel she got the votes. That needs to be respected. Congratulations to her."

Sana's Bigg Boss journey was filled with a lot of ups and downs. She received a lot of criticism inside the show by her co-contestants and the host of the show, Anil Kapoor. She was called selfish and names for speaking her mind and heart. However, she shut everyone with her historic win on August 2, 2024.
