Bigg Boss OTT 3, hosted by Anil Kapoor, has been making headlines since its premiere. As the show approaches its conclusion, only seven contestants are left in the house, and Bollywood actor, Ranvir Shorey is one of them. Recently, the actor revealed the real reason behind his participation in the controversial show.
In the latest episode of BB OTT 3, the media entered the house and grilled the participants. During the interaction, one of the journalists said that Ranvir entered the show solely to revive his career. The actor instantly corrected the media personnel, saying that he was offered two reality shows, and as he had no other work at that time, he chose Bigg Boss. Ranvir further added:
"The reason why I chose Bigg Boss, is because my son will be on vacation for a month, and I was not getting good offers. So I decided to come on the show.. He is 13 years old, and now I want him to start living his life with a man around him."

Further, in the conversation, the Khosla Ka Ghosla actor clarified the air around his remark on eyeing the show's prize money and not caring about the trophy of BB OTT 3. He said that his statement was in jest and the combination of prize money with the trophy is just unbreakable. In his words:
"It is not like that. The statement was made in jest. Obviously, the combination of the trophy and prize money cannot be broken."
The winner of Bigg Boss OTT 3 will receive Rs. 25 lakh along with the trophy. One of the media personnel asked Ranvir what he would do with the money if he emerged as the winner. The actor shared that he would use the prize money to pay his son's college fees.

On the premiere episode of Bigg Boss OTT 3, Ranvir Shorey shared that he entered the controversial show as he had been out of work for years. Discussing his professional life with his co-contestant, Shivani Kumari, the Bollywood actor mentioned that he belonged to an older generation and he doesn't quite understand new technologies. He was quoted as saying:

"I am an actor. I've done my first film in the year 1999. Aaj kaam hota toh yaha kyu hota. Aapka toh acha hai khud he sab banao, khud he kamao. Aajkal ye thodi nayi technology aa gayi hai. Hum thode purane zamane ke hai."
