Ranvir Shorey is one of the contestants on the controversial reality show, Bigg Boss OTT 3. While he has impressed the audience with his stint on the show, the actor has also made some shocking revelations about his personal life, raising many eyebrows. Ranvir was once in a relationship with Mahesh Bhatt's daughter, Pooja Bhatt, but the duo parted ways on an ugly note.
In one of the latest episodes of Bigg Boss OTT 3, Ranvir Shorey opened up about his mother's demise. He recalled that while he was shooting for his film, Lakshya, in Ladakh in 2002, he received a call from home informing him that his mother was not well. Speaking along the same lines, Ranvir recalled that he was involved in the biggest scandal of his life with an actress during that time. He didn't take Pooja Bhatt's name but revealed that he flew away to the US after that. He did a six-month acting course and borrowed money from his brother. Recalling how he got back to work in India, Ranvir shared:
"During the same time, I also encountered the biggest scandal of my life with another actress. Unable to cope, my brother asked me to come to the US with him for a while. I pursued a six-month acting course in the States and borrowed money from my brother. After returning from the US, I started shooting for 'The Great Indian Comedy Show' in 2005. At that time, two of my long-shelved films were greenlit for release and hit theaters back-to-back within a week and my work was loved by audiences. After those films, I finally felt my life was steady as an actor and that I had arrived."
Back in the early 2000s, Pooja Bhatt made shocking claims, stating that Ranvir Shorey would become violent and physically abuse her after getting drunk. Later, Ranvir denied the allegations, stating that he and Pooja used to have disagreements like other normal couples. He also quashed the reports of him being an alcoholic and abusive partner. After an ugly spat with Pooja, Ranvir ended their relationship and left her place. Reportedly, when he came back to pick up his things, he found both the windows of his car shattered. If reports are to be believed, the actor also claimed that Pooja's brother, Rahul, tried to attack him with an iron rod.
