Ranvir Shorey is one of the most talented and versatile actors in Bollywood. The hunk debuted on the silver screen and played a small role in the film, Ek Chotisi Love Story. Since then, he starred in acclaimed movies like Lootcase, Ek Tha Tiger, Sonchiriya, and more. Ranvir is now a contestant in the controversial reality show, Bigg Boss OTT 3, and in the first episode itself, he revealed the primary reason for his participation in the show.
On the premiere episode of Bigg Boss OTT 3, Ranvir did not hesitate to show his vulnerable side. A fellow contestant, Shivani Kumari, asked Ranvir Shorey about his identity. She asked, “Aap kya karte ho, kaun ho?” To which Ranvir didn't hesitate to reveal that he is an actor and has been out of work for the past few years.

Ranvir added that he participated in the show to revive his career. He also added that if he had an acting job, he wouldn't have participated in the show, but currently, he is in dire need of it. He also said he does not understand the culture of social media and influencers. In his words:
"I am an actor. I've done my first film in the year 1999. Aaj kaam hota toh yaha kyu hota. Aapka toh acha hai khud he sab banao, khud he kamao. Aajkal ye thodi nayi technology aa gayi hai. Hum thode purane jamane ke hai."
The confession of Ranvir Shorey is going viral on the internet, and his fans and Bollywood buffs are disheartened by the state of such a talented actor. A fan wrote, "He is such a versatile actor but so humble and down to earth. He didn't hesitate to say that he was jobless." Another netizen commented, "I Mean, Who Doesn't know This Ranvir Man? He is an Amazing Actor."

Bigg Boss OTT 3 premiered on June 21, 2024, and it sure did have a plethora of different personalities in the show.
