Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh had been one of the most iconic and evergreen couples in the history of the Hindi film industry. The duo had fallen in love during the shooting of their film, Kabhie Kabhi. While both of them were merely teenagers back in the day, nevertheless, they let their love win over everything else and tied the knot in 1980. The madly-in-love couple was joined in by their adorable children, Riddhima and Ranbir during their journey of togetherness. The duo held hands tightly during every course of their life, until 2020, when Rishi Kapoor’s tragic death separated the love birds more than 40 years later.
While there have been so many fans of the iconic couple, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh who got an opportunity to be a part of their wedding, it was once through the talented actress, Raveena Tandon that we caught hold of a glimpse of the same. Well, on the occasion of Rishi and Neetu’s 41st anniversary in 2021, post the demise of the former, Raveena had shared a throwback picture of her teenage self, where she was spotted being a part of Rishi and Neetu’s wedding. Along with it, she had penned a heartfelt caption where she revealed how Rishi had requested her for the picture so that he could add it in his autobiography, Khullam Khulla. The caption could be read as:
“Found a gem. A tad too late though. Thank you @juuhithesoniibabbar for finding this pic. Chintu uncle kept asking me for this pic to put in his autobiography. And somehow I had lost the original. Found it .so that’s me standing with chintu uncle, at his wedding. Wish I'd gotten it a bit earlier. Nonetheless it is treasure for me. #treasuredmemories @neetu54."

What’s a wedding after all if it does not house some of the most weirdly fond anecdotes? Something similar happened when Neetu Singh in one of her interviews revealed a lesser-known fact dating back all the way to her wedding. In an earlier interaction with social media influencer, Dolly Singh, Neetu had revealed how she had been drunk with a few sips of brandy during their pheras so as to calm her nerves. In her words:
“Jab humari shaadi horahi thi, main faint hogayi thi and my husband also fainted. We both fainted. I fainted because there were too many people. My husband was petrified of crowds, so before getting on the ghodi, he fainted. So, he was just having Brandy, I was having Brandy, that's how our wedding was. I was drunk when I was taking the pheras."
In yet another of her interactions with Rediff, Neetu Singh had once recalled another hilarious memory from her wedding to Rishi Kapoor and revealed how there were quite a few uninvited people who had simply gate crashed their wedding venue, because of the hype that it was Raj Kapoor’s son who was getting married. She had mentioned:

“There were so many gatecrashers at the reception. They were dressed well and were carrying packed gift boxes. The security men let them in thinking they were guests. Later, we found stones in the gift boxes."

Well, Neetu Singh had been quite a nervous and scared bride when she was barely a teenager during her wedding with Rishi Kapoor. While their wedding was a grand event back in the days which the film industry had witnessed, it was all the more daunting because of the heavy attire she wore and the constant sense of pressure that seeped in. Spilling beans on it, Neetu had once mentioned how she had ended up fainting right before one of her wedding festivities. In her words:
“I fainted at my wedding and so did my husband. My lehenga was too heavy. Plus, there were too many people. It was too much for me to handle. My husband fainted because he couldn't take the crowd. He fainted just before he was to climb on the ghodi."
